As a kid I was brought up in a tower. We loved it when the light bulb went out on the lift as we kids used to all bail in and slap the shit out of one another in the dark 🤣🤣

0:55 Pretty much a perfect reaction to seeing the really good 1960 Otis in the Doncaster Myer store in Melbourne Australia replaced with the cheapest and slowest made in China MRL you could imaginable that would probably last less than five years before having to be replaced again.

What is the sound that lift is making at 4:04? It sounds like the door motor is running full speed trying to close the door when it’s already closed so the belts are just slipping like crazy.

Yeah I have been to Dover and it’s so deprived. One of the most depressing deprived places in England. Even Blackpool is deprived but I much prefer Blackpool than Dover.

⁠@@benoliftsGen3 is only in the US and Canada as far I know (and is the outright successor to Gen2, which has now been discontinued here). Gen360 is offered in some countries in mainland Europe but not the UK.

What about halloween lifts ltd we made cheap lightweight nasty hydraulic lifts that goes 1.6 m/s and safety break randomly and makes the Selcom hydra arm door operator screaming and make the light flashing at the same time. They also have Lester Controls logic to pretend to be very boring...

If you think these places with British flags are bad, you should go back to Northern Ireland and see some of the loyalist strongholds and you’ll see how nationalist they are, especially near and on the 12th July. They even have the sides of the pavements painted red white and blue. They take it to the extreme.
