So its final attack is that it summons a hundred flying metal fists that all punch the enemy. Then they form into one huge fist that the robot rides on top of which punches the guy, and then the robot turns into an enormous golden rocket punch and smashes the guy to bits." Too awesome.

Well, we do have a lot to thank for Mazinger Z and Getter, but it's just that times are different. Some people grew up watching different types of robot anime, so they just aren't used to the older graphics and style of MZ and Getter.

Continuity problem i guess, since back then KB is meant to be Koji's weakest attack, the idea of dial for the beam is new(Old Koji is way too genius to actualy miss a details) In SRW W, Koji done something even more absurd, Kaiser Nova(which is stronger than Unlimited Rocket Punch Works) @ and Manga Kaiser can do Nova as well Besides, Blue Great Mazinger which was canonically as powerful as Kaiser manage to do an attack simmilar to Kaiser Nova(which was actualy the source of Kaiser Nova)

Imagine if Mazinger Z used 100 Rocket Punch Rapid Shot and Aquarion used Jikyu Sousei Punch, ITS RAINING FISTS

Also, Mazinger has not been in every single SRW game, otherwise it would have been present in the Original Generations storylines. Besides, just because people like how the Super Robot genre has evolved, doesn't mean they have to like its roots. acknowledgement of a thing is not tandem to liking a thing.

It isn't in the OGs because OGs are just that, meant for the Originals of each SRW. Same reason Getter Robo and the RX-78-2 who are part of the Holy Trinity of SRW will never appear in OG games. Given the clusterf**k from OGs, do we honestly need more characters in it? Do keep in mind that each of them starred in their own games. As it is, some are fairly shafted(looking at you Ibis).
