troy vo The S saga was a little more subtle about it, they at least tried to keep them relevant occasionally. Super S is where they said fuck it and made the Inner Senshi essentially living props.

what about mercury soloing Zirconia? or the Nehelenia arc of Stars? I agree that they are mostly irrelevant in Stars other than being the sitcom cast

Olivér Gáspár agreed, The beginning Stars Arc gave them some moments for sure, the petty part of me doesn’t count that arc since it’s an added filler arc to conclude what they didn’t in Super S. Also forgot about that Sailor Mercury moment, I just always get salty that they just literally pass out right before the end of this whole arc battle.

@@DaLucster72 my brain treats it as a direct continuation and the ending of superS (and it kinda is) TBH I was dissapointed how the inners have been treated too, because they are so cool characters and are sooo underused (which is actually funny if u think about what this show is about) but then crystal treated them even worst so I started to appreciate them more in the classic.

here are the differences between normal and super form: - The ties on the skirt increase in size - A larger and somewhat transparent sleeve appears on the shirts - The brooch that was a circle turns into a heart - the necklace on the neck gets a star - Mercurio gets two additional earrings and to Venus the earring changes from yellow to red that is all

Not to mention like Sailor Moon, the uniforms of Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus are somewhat skimpy. Well when they were normal, their skirts were down. Whereas in their super form, they are somewhat short and lifted up a little.

One question. Their original transformations were 1) Planet Power Make Up (ex. Venus power make up) and then they came 2) Planet Star Power Make Up (like Jupiter Star Make up) and then the super forms with 3) Planet Crystal Power Make Up. Now we know the differences in appearances of the sailors between 2) and 3) but were there EVER any differences between the appearances of 1) and 2)?

Without planet, the planet power is the 3rd transformation from the manga/crystal never shown in the 90s anime. Also no, their first uniform and their star uniform are identical 1 to 1. @@NICKARRIOLA16

There are so many things I don’t like about their super forms. I don’t like the half-assed sleeves, I think they should have all had the three transparent sleeves like Usagi and Chibiusa. I can’t stand their godawful new transformation wands, especially since the Star Power wands were so pretty. I just don’t know why all of them needed to be PINK? To me they look like something you’d get at the dollar store and give your five year old. And then we only have one (boring, underwhelming) henshin theme. I like their new attacks and gorgeous new henshins, I like the “sailor soldier” part of the henshin theme, and I like Mercury’s earrings. So I’m not just being shallow… well, I kind of am.

I guess my main issue is that they got stuck with these boring forms long after they should have been irrelevant. I’ll never stop being annoyed that they never upgraded to Eternal forms in Stars. That’s why I love the new films so much I guess

The wands were pink because SuperS was heavily aimed at little girls compared to prior seasons. That's why Chibiusa was given a bigger role. The first three seasons were more mature, but at the same time, S' ratings were lower than R, and the writers knew they were losing viewers. So, they wanted to keep the show relevant and decided to target a younger audience.

Yup, I also think they were a bit lazy with giving all the Sailor Scouts the same henshin theme, plus it's not as catchy as the previous individual themes.

Cause they need to be ready. Just like moon and chibi moon. They got their crisis upgrade when they were ready. They wanted to save their mom. The team wanted to save moon and chibi moon and help pegasus cause they believed chibi moon

I agree, it was so dumb. Nothing in this season made sense. Especially considering that the Pegasus was around Chibimoon the whole time and nobody figured out that she was -obviously- the most indicated person in having the golden mirror. And everyone is done dirty af. Imagine being one of the most powerful Sailor Guardian in the whole universe, but you can't use your attack unless your future child summons her winged horse.

I do understand leveling up Scouts' powers as SM upgrades, but what never made sense, was losing the old attack. Why not allow all the Scouts to have access to their old attacks even w/ a powerup?

@@honestlyflawless4038 you're correct in the fact that Sailor Moon still uses her Tiara throw, but b/c she's much stronger; barely any effect on a monster at all. Still, it might help w/ specific situations. I bet Venus's Crescent Beam is sometimes more useful than L&BS.

@@matteoassignon8000For the 90s only (since manga/crystal is different): classic SM and Crystal SM (crystal not the anime her second form is crystal) only the brooch changes. Cosmic SM: brooch changes again but her tiara also has a moon instead of a red gem now. Fun fact: Manga/crystal cosmic SM still has the red gem tiara.

I remember it had the word “Ore” (as in the male version of I) in the title but that’s it. And yeah, she was wearing a typical shoujo outfit because she wasn’t told about that part so he’s still wearing it.

In super forms they're get new attacks (Mercury Aqua Rapshody, Mars Flame Sniper, Jupiter Oak Evolution, Venus Love and Beauty Shock). Also their Sailor fukus looks a little bit diffrent.

new attacks , and their outfits undergo changes, those changes being: longer back bows, their brooches change into the shape of a heart, all of them have one stripe on their collar now, they have a five pointed star on their chokers, and the ends of their shoulder sleeves are transparent. everyone except jupiter’s earrings change as well; mercury has three studded earrings, mars has six pointed instead of five pointed star earrings, and venus’s studs change color from orange to red
