When you renovate your kitchen, look into (large) drawers instead of cabinets on the bottom and for your pantry. It’s been a game changer for me in terms Accessibility and keeping things organized. And surprisingly, there’s more space even though the size of the kitchen is exactly the same.

As someone with drawers inside my bottom cabinets, I completely agree! Though if it had been my choice I think regular drawers would have been nicer. The cabinet doors have been quite beaten up by the drawer rails. The extra deep drawers available nowadays are also 😍

We are a family of 4 plus six cats and our kitchen is a quarter of yours 🥲 my only counter space is the space above the washing machine, so about 60cm. This looks like a dream!!! And oh, to be able to see the kids playing in their play room while cooking meals and have the view over the dining table, garden and even be able to hear what is going on in the living room! That is just perfect. I know you know but you are so lucky! You worked hard and deserve this beautiful home and family ❤

You could build your own drawer thing to go inside your pot cabinet. Drawers are so much easier, it would be worth it !

Delilah, I agree with previous comment about have all drawers for bottom cabinets. All my pots, baking equipment, Tupperware, and so much more fit beautifully. No more on my knees trying to find something in the back of a bottom cabinet.

Great job! I use those pot/pan/lid racks, but all my lower cabinets have shelves that roll/pull out. I'm in my late 60's and I had to have roller drawers included in my kitchen reno, so I didn't have to get on my hands and knees. You are inspiring.

Love how I saw you do the smell test hehe. Hope you get that visual clutter done. I have always wanted to do that too but only have it for tea and coffee for my husband and my popcorn (I have an air popper because I haven't owned a microwave in about a decade). Jars really do make food look so much nicer. You did a great job. It looks great. Eek. . .don't look in my nearly empty fridge. . I only do food shopping for the week and only buy what I need for it, so it gets empty fast. . I think we have 4 things in the freezer right now. Ah. So soothing to clean the fridge. I love decluttering and watching others do it too. So relaxing!! Thanks for sharing it!!

We had a corner cabinet like that. First thing we did is add a baby lock. My husband added more shelves and we added rechargeable led motion lights. Since it’s locked i can keep baking items on one area/insta pot. And all our serving stuff (platters and bowls) on another area

A tip that works great for me is to put the turn tables at the back of the cupboards. Then you can put the other stuff in front and not have to move so much stuff to get what's at the back. This has been a game changer for me. Especially in my fridge!!

You can always post your expired food on marketplace for free (obviously saying that it's expired) - there are some people who really need anything/everything and expirations are usually just suggestions anyway. Better than going into the garbage.

Looks so good! What about putting drawers where the pots are? You can mount the same door on to the drawers, like a front. It would make it much easier to access. You can buy gallon and half gallon jars with plastic lids ( that won’t rust) on Amazon for a great price! My bulk food cupboard is not pretty, but it is functional! And bulk foods like brown sugar, flower, oatmeal, and granulated sugar are money savers in the bulk food section.

i know this might sound crazy but have you ever considered cutting out access to the corner cupboard ftom the other side of the cabinet? those bifold doors are a nusance and if you had access from the other side of the island you could have better access and use it as a bookshelf for home schooling suplies,that would give you another cabinet for kitchen items.

There are magnetic locks that work for you corner cabinet, I use it on my because the way mine swings it would get damaged if a kid played it.

You should get a "base cabinet corner carousel" for your corner cupboard in your kitchen. This way you could store other things in there and reach them more easily. Look it Up ;)

Just an idea , if you don’t use the coffee maker much and just use it for guests it might be worth it to switch over to a pour over vessel like a chemex it will take up way less space in your cabinets and all you have to do is boil water in a kettle or pot to make a fresh pot of coffee, I switched over years ago and they last a long time and in my opinion the coffee tastes amazing

What are some good snack foods yoy recommend (anyone who sees this) I find it so hard to find good snack foods that aren’t terrible for you. Not everything needs to be healthy but please no chips and candy. Recommendations please

My son loves yogurt so he has that and I add a fruit and topping like granola or a few chocolate chips. Larabar also makes brownies and cookies that are simply made and yummy for kids. We do cheese and crackers sometimes too.

Imagine the pantry with doors with shelves, like a fridge. I always find deep pantry shelves impractical because I have to look for jars in the back and make a mess. 😂
