I’m a guy and I think I’m obsessed about him, I watch his highlights almost daily, many are repeats, I just watch over and over again to enjoy his greatness and now I watch every dodgers game…I’ve never watch baseball for more then 5mins if any until I met Shohei and rest is history…

He is also a clean baseball player. No steroids, no gambling.

i'm one of those like you... non baseball fan and don't know much about it. had a chance to learn how it is played but never interested in doing so. anyway. Ohtani is the type of person people usually like or admire. guess it's also about his personality. it's quite rare for a superstar athlete like Shohei that puts playing game first before earning big money.

i bit the bullet and just became a dodgers fan. i've watched every game this season and to speak frankly, it was probably the best decision i've made in a long time. 6 days a week i have a game to look forward to. jump on the bandwagon man. plenty of websites to watch the games for free.

Actually Ohtani got a little struck at bat, he couldn't hit the core but he used his power to send it out. If Ohtani was hitting the core of his bat, the ball supposed to fall into the sea already. In fact, there were a numbers of Ohtani's HR in this season were under same situations, they got struck but all able to send to the stands by Ohtani's power & skills.

@@berryleung7288 All true. Ohtani's homer usually has a specific "style" of connecting a ball at the center or core of his bat, and he was very good at doing that in 2023. I am amazed at his ability to make a small adjustment each time he stands at bat. This year, probably because of the elbow surgery, he might have hard time to make such an adjustment, how to prepare the arms, the hip, and the angle of his swing.
