I'm a retired hairstylist and I'm very impressed with this technique. This is what I was looking for. All of the videos I've watched, someone FINALLY let the natural hair out and did not bleach the whole section of hair. I've seen MANY tease-lights on every color of their natural hair, and the end result was totally blonde, except the out growth. What I just watched now, I thought it was BEAUTIFUL AND NATURAL just like she was in the sun... I love it!! Awesome job!! 😍👌👌👏👏👏💯💯❤️🔥❤️🔥‼️

Wait! Why am I just now finding out this channel? I looked through so many patchy and blotchy KZfaq videos while doing my research, and gave up the idea of getting this done. Wish I had seen this sooner! Loved the result!

Hey--I just wanted to say thank you for posting these videos. I got pregnant my first month of booth renting a year and a half ago and since life has been a whirlwind. I love being a mom, but it doesn't necessarily mean I can afford classes that I'd like to attend or buy online. These are so great for me to learn these modern techniques and use on my clients. Thank you so much! You are a blessing 👍🏻😍🙏🏼

radicallytubular at least your finding ways to educate yourself. I got pregnant 3 months after started at my first salon and that was 1999 so there wasn't youtube to watch. So I think it's great that your motivated. And you can go far. I started like you and now have my own KZfaq channel so you'll do fine!

God bless you for putting on soothing music during the silent parts instead of that obnoxious annoying music in most hair videos! When that starts I always have to bail because it shatters my nerves. This was enjoyable to watch.

A great technique that i use all the time, being a stylist of 17yrs i got my first formal warning using this technique in the current salon I'm working in as I did not apply a demi to the roots and blended out a root shade into a balayage.

I've tried a million different balayage techniques before and use a paint brush just like you and even the exact same Matrix lightener because that's what we have at our salon and with every single balayage attempt I get harsh lines :( Every single one. It's very discouraging.

+Andrea Esposito yeah I'll definitely try to do a talk through video
@sarahcool957 жыл бұрын
Andrea Esposito I feel your pain. We only use matrix in our saloon too and balayage can be difficult with light master

Sarah Smith It's very difficult for me to grasp this technique I guess. I'm scared to do any balayage techniques on clients because of the harsh lines I always get. Idk what I'm doing wrong :(
@cheyenneaguilar59917 жыл бұрын
After painting the hair take it between your thumb and index finger (thumb on top) and massage the bleach in by just moving your fingers up and down almost like a teasing motion. Do this just at the very top of the line not the whole strand and this should help to smooth out any harsh lines.. Just a little tip that might help out! :)

I left the brush comment. It's a chip brush. Like 25 cents per brush. You can even trim the ends of the bristles to stiffen their effect.

Hello! Awesome video! As a fellow cosmetologist I just want to add a little info because I recently completed a Redken Color Class and learned that the Shades EQ Gloss is supposed to be applied on dry hair and also it needs to process for a full 20 minutes. Since using this method the gloss lasts a lot longer on my clients. Now the whole salon does it this way. We were all sitting in the class going ok we gotta change some things. ♥️
@LexiDawnMcc5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for adding this! In the salon applying it to wet hair for a shorter amount of time works great!

I am thinking about having a friend help me with this technique, but unsure on the color. I have boxed dye black hair (natural black color, but honestly has faded into a dark brown). I love this color and want to keep it, but would love to add some brown dimension into the bottom, just to give it a bit of color, so it's not super flat. I have bleached this color out of my hair many times, while going blonde. It lifts perfectly fine on my hair. Guess my question is - once I bleach this from my hair, I know it'll turn that brassy red/orange color. I was thinking of getting a golden medium brown to just dye over-top, but would that even work, to give me that pretty Black/Golden brown balayage I'm wanting? Or should I try to tone it somehow? Don't want anything drastic, just a bit of color is all.
