I’d actually love it that instead of the Mickey colours for KH3 Riku, instead Riku has an alt of Yozora seeing how he’s “evil” Riku after all

Believe me I really love Yozora, he's easily the best fight in the franchise, but I think that a Mickey alt makes a lot more sense thematically as well as visually given that Riku doesn't usually wear red and having a Yozora alt wouldn't be a drastic change which I tend to prefer in Smash costumes.

I think it'd be cool if his side b was sonic/double impact, with rapid decent/sliding crescent: similar to sora, he slide forwards, but when making contact you could/would, if you hit on its starting frames, use rapid decent, which would spike people (think aerial falcon side B), the later parts of the move, if it connects, would give you sliding crescent which is weaker and just sends away (or cancelable into a normal attack if on the ground, but not any other special), and if the first one whiffs, you do one more, which, like sora's, could be angled. Unlike sora you only get two, can't be canceled after the first and it does not have a lock on mechanic nor being able to be used after up B; it does snap to ledge. Give him a Palutena/rosa like roll where he disappears into the shadows, but only rolling forwards, have him do the handstand roll going backwards (as a reference to the kh1 scene where beast is introduced), his spot and aerial dodge could be or look like shadow slide (could be witch time like ). Give him shadow strike as something like what Terry (and i think ryu and ken have as well) has, you know where you can do an unique attack if you parry. I know this is too much for one character, but that is kind of the point, it is my dream. Also missing out on Org. cloak being an alt (it can be his timeless river like costume, think little mac's entrance animation and skin alt). Very fun video I like a lot of what you brought up.

I briefly considered Sliding Crescent as an option for his dash attack but I wanted him to have more utility with it instead of having it be the traditional "this move hits diagonally upwards and kills at later percents", so I decided to go with the initial slide instead. But yeah that's an interesting interpretation and it sounds like it would be fun to use. I also considered an Org coat skin, one with and without the blindfold, but I thought the Riku Ansem outfit was more interesting and had potential for a better alternate color.

A. I love this design, Riku would stand out of the roster due him using light and darkness B. I can imagine the edgy try-hard Riku mains already C. I hope Disney makes their own fighting game D. Here a idea for Roxas moveset: All of Roxas normals are the same as Sora but his specials are different Neutral B: Magic (Days variation) Side B: Ars Arcanum Up B: Aerial Recovery Down B: Reversal

Definitely some interesting design concepts that sound really cool. Honestly, I don’t know who they would go with next as a character. Sora was the obvious one, but after that, it seems like a split between some characters.

Nice video man. I too came up with a move set for Riku. I had a lot of similar ideas but they're are some that we differ on. I still think it's very interesting and I can tell how much time and effort you put into this. Nice job.👍

I realized that right at the end of me editing the video and I wanted to make a joke out of it but I didn't know how to incorporate it into the already written and recorded script so I scrapped that idea lol.

I actually found that out while I was editing his Final Smash segment, but I was so deep into the video that I didn't feel like making room for it so I just kind of hoped that no one else would notice lmao. In hindsight a simple "Found his back air!" bit of text on the screen would have sufficed but past me didn't think it was necessary.

If I were sakurai. I would have riku's main weapon would be the way of the dawn keyblade because that's the choice for riku's keyblade would be. Also whether not sakurai would give riku the braveheart keyblade the car key keyblade. And his Dodge roll move should be his Dark roll. Sakurai might keep riku organization 13 coat too even Riku's orginal kh1 hairstyle just sora's original kh 1 hairstyle.

Lingering Will in Smash Would have me ascending into the heavens, I know this is off topic and he isn't a villain but I love Terra and if he or his lingering will version was added in the next smash bros I would be like when everyone else was with Sora's reveal into smash. (I hadn't played the Kh series when Sora was released)

I think peak Terra is him as the Lingering Will, due in part to me not loving Terra as a character that much in BBS as well as LW being a really cool fight in 2. If I had to pick between the 2 of them, I'd prefer LW as I think the feeling of playing as the boss is more interesting than playing as another Keyblade wielder.

I think my biggest issue with being a semi clone of Sora is playstyle. Sora in Smash is a Punishing character, you make a mistake, eat nair loop! Riku to me doesn't fit that, he feels more aggressive, attacking first and foremost, a playstyle more like Roy where he's fast, hits like a truck and gets in your face with limited to no range options. Still can't argue, it was a good vid!

Hmm this is a very nice idea. How would you interpret other Kh characters like Roxas, Axel, Xion and Useless Chara- I mean Kairi ?

Well it really depends. None of this is set in stone and my opinions on how they'd be represented may change in the future but for right now... Roxas alone has two potential options that could drastically change his playstyle. He could be a straight Echo of Sora, which would make narrative and thematic sense given that they're literally the same guy, but he could be more mechanically unique and be Smash's first dual-wielder, which is very iconic to his style of combat in its own right. If you had to press me on the matter, I think a mix of both may be possible, something like how they handled Kazuya's devil form, where he uses the Kingdom Key for most of his attacks, reserving his dual-wielding to his smash attacks, specials, and Final Smash, but that may make his design a bit cluttered so I can't say for sure. Xion I'd argue is a better candidate for an Echo fighter of Sora than Roxas given that she exclusively uses the Kingdom Key and doesn't have nearly as much of her own techniques to pull from. They could base her Fire/Blizzard/Thunder off of how they appear in Days, and maybe give her Strike Raid as a Side Special both to reference one of Sora's signature techniques that didn't make the cut for Smash, as well as an attack that she does in her data fight of KH3 where she throws her Keyblade at you. As long as she get's her armor in some form, I'd be happy. Axel would most definitely use his chakrams. I don't care if he's a Keyblade wielder now, the chakrams are a significantly more interesting weapon that he is much more associated with and I will forever be mad at Nomura for changing it. No one in Smash has ever had their main method of attack be a kind of throwing weapon, any that do exist are usually contained within a single move. That means his playstyle would be entirely unique, whereas Roxas and Xion's would not be, which is important to consider for a fighting game roster. Also he's just cool. And as for Kairi... Yeah I'm not sure lol. Her most defining role in any game is as the damsel in KH1, which is fine, she plays the role perfectly in that game, but ever since then she's been incredibly inconsistent. If she had any kind of fighting style it would probably be with her Keyblade, but that's already well tread ground by this point and she still hasn't done much to showcase any kind of unique playstyle with it. You could argue she could just copy Aqua's moves but if they need to go through that much trouble, they should just add Aqua (even if I don't think she would bring much to the table). In short, I'd rather see Kairi fleshed out more in her own games before she is to ever make her way to Smash, as the way she exists right now is borderline incompatible.

@@gubsy3730 you’ve got a point with Xion. I definitely agree that Axel should use his chakrams even if it makes him a sort of min-min type character. And I do think Roxas should dual wield as he’s only really uses the kingdom key in two games and for the rest of the time he dual wields his iconic Oathkeeper, Oblivion combo. Also seeing the boss attacks be turned into a moveset would be.. so friggin sick. And as for Kairi. She does have sort of a moveset in KH3 Re;mind. But that’s not exactly enough to go off of.. unless you also take in stuff from the manga where she wasn’t as useless.
