The reason why we can't beat Master Hand. He legit holds back. After a move, he tends to just sit there, and observe. It's like he wants to see us win, because he knows he can completely destroy us. If he fought like this, truly, we would never win.

In addition to that, let me point out that Master Hand is implied to STILL be at less-than-full power by this point, since his Master Core form was removed by Galeem (being an equippable Spirit and all). And he's not even getting backup from Crazy Hand, who (being Master Hand's equal and opposite number) is presumably just as powerful when he really cuts loose. And *that's* not even considering their combination attacks. Or the possibility that Crazy Hand ALSO has a "Core" form (which was probably taken from him in the same way Master Hand lost Master Core after Galeem did his thing, but still). Yeah, we should all be *V E R Y* glad the Hands don't go all out in their boss fights throughout the series. It'd take the entire assembled roster to make it even SLIGHTLY fair.

@@greentoesbstatus4325 I’ll just say it in replies here if it helps First step: make a new world of light file, I highly recommend putting it on very easy until you get to the master hand level Second step: for getting to master hand, I think there are other tutorials on that Third step: most important step, when you reach the master hand level, save the game _before you play the master hand level_ and set the difficulty to whichever you like Never save at all after the master hand thing is done at any cost, quit the save file and come back instead of saving after the master hand level

I mean the situation in World of Light had gotten so dire at that point that as soon as Master Hand was broken free of Galeem’s control, he realized he couldn’t hold back his true power anymore now that the Smash multiverse that HE created was being threatened of total annihilation by two “gods” fighting for control of HIS creations. At that point he basically said “Screw the BOTH of you, this world is for ME to control and NO ONE ELSE!” when choosing to ally himself with the Super Smash Brothers fighters. Let’s thank god Master and Crazy Hand (to an extent) that they don’t fight like how when we take control of Master Hand in Classic Mode as a boss.

I doubt it since possibly plans of Master Hand being playable was scrapped during development with no time to removing the data and ended up unintentionally became a glitchy cheat code

In melee, if you put your controller in slot three and held a and b on the section where your name is and then quickly release the b button you will be taken to the stage select screen. Choose the stage and you’re master hand (you’re unable to control him though).

@@DeloofTegOrb I know that exist, I tried it myself. I mean what possibly a melee reference in Sakurai's point of view. Playing as Master Hand in Melee was obviously wasn't finished, becoming scrapped, which is very obvious if you play it by rules outside of Stamina Mode causes the game to crash. I'm just saying that playing as Master Hand in Ultimate by normal means intended by the developers making a reference to a unfinished code doesn't seem like something they'll reference.

It wasn't a reference. That was glitch unintentionally discovered by messing with coding inside the game when selecting characters. It is a coincidence that they have commands for moves.

Andrej Stojanovic yeah, well. When Master Hand is used in a melee tournament, people set a Specific percent of damage on him. That’s the amount of percent you have to reach to win a match against him! And besides, He was extremely low tier in stamina mode.

Mew-TubeHK I only knew about the fact that he is legal. But i couldn’t find any tournaments using him. It’s probably because He is a low tier with the damage handicap, it Could also be because you couldn’t move him around and that his moves Could get really repetitive, making him boring to Play! It’s a shame though, i wish that i had way more skill with another character. So that i Could enter a tournament and take out my best character, Master Hand...

If none of you understand the storyline, basically Galeem and Dharkon captured Master Hand and Crazy Hand and brainwashed them into their servants. Dharkon wishes to banish the universe back into eternal darkness while Galeem seeks to engulf it in light. Using the hands, the two celestial entities created an army of clones.

I've played this already and my thoughts on it are as follows: It's a great plot twist to anyone who is brave enough to go the true ending route that has you ultimately fight both Galeem and Dharkon at the same time. but as to how infuriating said true boss fight can be and what kind of ending sequence that follows said fight I'll leave that for everyone who hasn't made it that far to find out for themselves. also I picture the reason Master Hand isn't at least playable in classic mode as well is not only because of his size but as this fight shows he's way too OP to have a hard time against any of the roster fighters.

It was very fun playing as him in the story mode, but I do agree with the other comments that you should be more mindful about spoilers, not everyone is going to get to beat the game so early on after its release.
