Difficulty and Obstacles settings are at Medium, Wrenches is at 3. These are the defaults.
Played until about 125.000 pts. I'm sure that this game is endless.

I've been a driving game nut since Rally X. Pole Position, TX-1, Hard Drivin', Race Drivin', Spy Hunter, etc etc. Super Sprint, along with Spy Hunter, were my favorites back then. Great times, and I could play for free as much as I could stand. I worked at an arcade for a couple of years back in '85. Those were the days....

Had one at a local movie theater I worked at. Spent many quarters lol… loved the music between races…

Only way to play this game was on the arcade game. Not for consoles. You need to spin that wheel and slap that pedal!

awesome playthrough! you drive very well :) but the car has terrible cornering for most of the game due to traction? i really enjoyed this in the arcades in 1988. so much fun! i never did see the sequel championship sprint...

Thanks. Super Traction does help the cornering some... IMO it's best to buy that first until it's up to Lv 5 and is marked as "taken". The CPU AI gets tough after you get maybe 3 wins in a row, then cools down after you continue. I have Champ Sprint on PS3... it's good also. Shame it was delisted after Midway (the owner of Atari Games titles at that time) went under. Another game to try is Badlands, which has Sprint gameplay with combat added. You can slow the other cars down with cannons, or crash them with missiles that can be bought using wrenches.
