Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers[a] is a head-to-head fighting game produced by Capcom and originally released as an arcade game in 1993. It is the fourth game in the Street Fighter II sub-series of Street Fighter games, following Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting. In addition to refining and balancing the existing character roster from the previous versions, Super Street Fighter II introduced four new characters. It was also the first game to be developed on Capcom's CP System II hardware, which permitted more sophisticated graphics and audio over the original CP System hardware used in previous versions of Street Fighter II.

i've always been mesmerized by the sound of the taiko drums in this track, but trying to isolate them in my head was difficult. the break downs you've done here are exactly what i've been desperately wanting for years, thank you for every track you've done so far AND for future releases, the anatomy of old VGM is something that needs to be explored more, and i'm glad it's being done by someone with such talent (and passion)

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Brilliance! Absolute Brilliance!! Never stopped on the first listen. Its unreal how you make make a whole new feel to this song just using the same instruments from the original. You're right about the sound. Actually the SSF2 vgm files are very dirty on synths and i'm still learning how to eq/filter dirt without ruining the synth, i'll try my best keeping the remaining SSF2 mixes as clean as this one.

I appreciate the build up at the beginning, but it somewhat takes away the character of the song. I really liked how the original starts brutally with all the elements in your face, and BOOM - you're in HK to challenge Mr. Lee.
