1:58 That bridge bugs me so much, because it wasn't there in any previous movies and they just add it so Voldmort could access the school more easily.
@maxonite5 жыл бұрын
@Potterhead 7 No, the bridge used to connect one part of the castle to another, it was WAY smaller. You can see it in the bigger model
@maxonite5 жыл бұрын
@Potterhead 7 Yup, they used the Hogwarts seen in the final HP film. The model wasn't used for that one, they made Hogwarts CGI in that film, i guess to make the battle scenes more feasible...
@maxonite5 жыл бұрын
@Potterhead 7 Because the one with it connecting the castle buildings was used for the films until the 6th one. For the final two films, they used a CGI model, that's why the real life model was never updated for the final films, where the design of the castle changes to that
@obiwankenobi6875 жыл бұрын
Lars T. Just for deathly hallows part 2, deathly hallows part 1 didn’t have hogwarts featured. So they only used the cgi version for the last film and now fantastic beasts

But isn`t it the bridge from the horntail chase? when the dragon didn't fit through the gaps and crashed? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/arx6qLemrpzJg6s.html at 2:25 in the linked video... or is it another bridge?

Thank you for this wonderful detailed video of Hogwarts! I'm sort of obsessed with the castle and this video went a long way to satisfy my thirst for every detail! It answered a lot of question, but unfortunately create MORE questions! What a fantastic video! Thank you for taking the time and having the patience to work around all the other folks there and bring us such a detailed video!

Now I understand Mr Argus Filch’s grumps from all those corridors and passageways to keep watch of, not to mention the number of keys for doors and entrances and the amount of cleaning of window panes. And the poor guy is also a Squib!

Some billionaire should go up to Scotland, find a Loch, and build this castle. Build Hogsmead too, and have a train run from Kings Cross. I’d pay to visit as I’m sure millions of others would too

Looks so real, even the mini model at the corner of the big thing. A Lego model come out in 2018 with 6020 pieces.
Now Mr Stuart Craig, I, my staff and the school board do appreciate your design here, but we’d like to remind you that our caretaker Mr Filch is after all only a man, and a man without magic to be exact. - said a Hogwarts headmaster.

Was the castle at 3:29 actually used and where the kids hable yo go in there or is it just a model so they could do close ups and photoshop it in?
@050572robert3 жыл бұрын
This model was used for all wide shots and aerial filming. Camera on a track in the ceiling would fly over the top and through the buildings like in scenes used in the dragons chase etc.
@alanigarcia25353 жыл бұрын
Craig Lee so there’s nothing inside and it was just used to be photoshopped in and clips of the castle?

@baconair5 жыл бұрын

@obiwankenobi6875 жыл бұрын
Beluga_ Soup it wouldn’t have Hagrids hut it’s too far away, you need to go over the covered bridge and then down a long hill to get to the hut. The part around 10.47 shows the beginning of the slope that hagrids hut is eventually at the bottom of in the films but the model doesn’t include it
@kappy48734 жыл бұрын
@@obiwankenobi687 Damn, the noble collection replica is so small but still has hagrid's hut along with those damn big pumpkins from prisoner of azkaban
@obiwankenobi6874 жыл бұрын
KAPPY that’s because it’s all compressed though and scaled down a tad, this is the actual full scale real model they used in the films so there was never going to be hagrids hut on there as his hut was never built as part of the model it was a separate set
@MsPoseidon132 жыл бұрын
Can someone answer me this! Every forum I read says hogwarts is 7 stories tall but, but when I look at pictures and videos like this the castle looks like its at least 10 floors not including dungeons
@Phulax.6 жыл бұрын
I suppose the first model we can see is the 'canon' model? Judging by the lack of a bridge in the second model.
@MrJeanMaker6 жыл бұрын
For what I know the big model was used in previous movies for actual shots, that were digitally enhanced after. But for the last two movies they wanted the bridge and a bigger courtyard so they decided to make in CGI, and probably the small model was used for reference.
@obiwankenobi6875 жыл бұрын
Phulax they’re both canon, if anything the larger model would be the canon version as it’s featured in 6 films as opposed to the 1 film that featured the cgi version
