Honestly boom beach is really fun rn, I stoped playing coc even (like last month) instead and play boom beach. Although still not perfect, I still see high potential to this game

Honestly the new matchmaker isn’t any better and still has some bugs. I am a level 48 player with 650 VP and I’m still getting level 75 and above players and, occasionally, puny level 30 and below players with barely any loot (obviously) Im barely getting any loot right now and my base progression has slowed down massively.

@@spysmocking4536 the reason you have to fight lvl 75 players is that your VP is high. The new matchmaking prioritises bases that have a level similar to your account, however there's a VP adjustment system: Your VP divided by 10 will be the level of bases that spawn on your map. Yes there are some bugs in the game right now, but once they will get fixed you will have to try to fight bases of level ~65. Or just decrease the amount of your VP with some strategies.

@@neonoir__ no, that's different. Pay to win is when you can get stuff only from paying, and not from playing freely. Paying for progress that you can make playing free so you don't have to wait that much is totally different

@@Viewer-zs6xj 16 scorchers is a very strong strategy. No brainer strat, in my opinion, but very effective. I like using Bullit (shock knuckles) Mechs (8) bombardiers (12) and smokey warriors. It depends on my mood. Anyways, I agree with you because the more you push, the easier It gets to win

Yeah they are still updating the game, may not be a lot but more updates still gives us hope.

A new dev team what? So did supercell fire the old team because the game is a failure so they brought new one?

@@SupercellNerd I don't know what happened to the old devs or if there were full time Boom Beach devs before the change, but the new devs started working on the game in early 2023 and have been making major improvements.

@@Chris_M10 Good to know hopefully with more marketing and maybe events in other supercell games hopefully boom beach can gain popularaty I actually started playing because of the troops being in Squad while yeah there going to add more brawlers and troops from Coc hopefully more bb troops get added to squad so more people start playing the game.

They changed it so you get against players with similar level as you, unless you are way to high in VP, where the game will put you against harder opponents. Love this change

I am at HQ 22 on my main, another account at 17 now and one small acc stuck at HQ 12, due to not playing much and very low resources. I do feel like the game gets better and better the higher you go up, stronger offense is always more fun

It's because you got too many medals and therefore ranked way too high. The game basically punishes you for being an active player, but compared to clash of clans you can't just easily drop trophies and get in a lower league fast.

It can be that way for lower lvls but at higher lvls the game is defenseless, proto troops make the game trivial, even more so than root riders did in clash of clans

That is kinda the theme here, most of the fun is with the offense in the game, attacks are the most fun part (unless you use tanks only) I like to describe this game "tactical" compared to CoC being "strategic". The tactical aspect is more fun to me than the strategic and hence I actually like boom beach more

it’s definitely tricky to nail the cartoonish / military combo

They are also releasing new skins including island skins through the new boom pass. It's not a lot but if the player is willing to purchase, they get more content

yeah let me know how that goes. At the end of the day the game makes up a tiny fraction of its revenue, and no matter how much money they throw at it the game just isn’t doing nearly as well as the other 5 games SC has out

@@blags2 100% not doing as good as the other games. Never done, and still lasting. And I agree that bb has been neglected for many years. So it’s where weird video to put out now, now that sc finally are giving some love to bb for the next two years. How many weeks/months do you think it is until they pul the plug?

​@@pankekitoBSops are kinda the equivalent to the clan capital (it plays the same role, given that clan capital works exactly the same way as ops in 3 different points). I do feel like there is still room for more updates within task forces (clan equivalent) and develop some sort of a clan war system. I actually thought of something in my mind that could potentially be very fun. Let me present it; You and your clan get to build your own massive operation base(s), using what you get from operations and/or other clan battles to improve your bases, make them more difficult to crack, expand more space and higher level defenses and prototypes and the task force who uses the least attacks/most damage (buildings destroyed) would win and earn high quality rewards for your task force and your home base. * There could be a few other ways to progress, maybe other things too and balanced matchmaking between task forces (either using total VP, total points of task force or total level of players) and match task forces of same size against each other when a task force is ready to fight other task forces with a click of a button. This is what I had in my head... It feels like a lot but instead of Gearheart generated bases, we get to make our own bases and battle others. This would put a higher emphasis on defense The addition of this would be nice but if they were to add other temporary events alongside this, that could be too many things, just like CoC

yeah the clan capital is basically boom beach with walls

I am at 640~ VP and yeah I do get wrecked sometimes as an HQ 22 but it is not hard for me to almost instantly regain those resources and more due to having enough resource reward and a plenty of npc bases to instantly destroy

I mean the game wasn't supposed to be extremely high quality... They are trying out different quality with the skins but I don't expect much difference
