Hey buddy love your Sherp content if you haven't upgraded your output shaft to the HD one available and center chain to the oil bath dual chain upgrade I would definitely recommend it. I have broke both a few times. And it is possible to get them stuck but easy to get them unstuck and back partying.

The aluminum Sherp cabs are made from are wrapped and coated BEFORE each piece is cut and installed. Makes it easier and much faster. That’s why the rivets are over the wrap.

they probs put the film on before riveting because when wrapping over rivets you tend to trap little bits of air in the middle and around the collar, causing the film to let go over time. Also its way easier to install on flat panels, if you had the chance to wrap the Sherp while it was being put together thats how i would have done it. 👌

Im guessing most places have laws where tires can't stick out further than the bodywork so it probably helps with that. As well in the water it will help keep water under the fender and flowing might be quite turbulent without it.

That sherp is looking good. Can’t wait to see it with the roll cage and the turbocharger upgrades. It looked liked quite a lot more power with that throttle upgrade now it can do wheel stands.

The flaps are a requirement in MA unfortunately Chapter 90: Section 7 - "...Every passenger motor vehicle which is equipped with tires which extend beyond the fenders or body of such vehicle and which is operated in or upon any way shall be equipped with flaps or suitable guards to reduce such spray or splash to the rear and sides..." You're allowed to have protruding tyres, because it's off-road, but you have to have "flaps" of some description XD. Think the ruffling was more to do with the bodywork damage tbh.

Rich, You might want to think about putting step traction strips on those fenders. The Sherp has nice big fat tires, But even a bulldozer can slide on ice and no one wants to slide off a trailer. Best of luck to ya...

Regarding the mud flap trim thing, does Mass have a law where it needs to stay there? In NH, it's illegal to have tires that stick out past the bodywork, so those flaps would be required to be road legal since they sort of extend the width of the bodywork.

The point of the floppy side molding is too protect the aluminum hull when colliding with things. It doubles as a mud flap but its a actually a bumper guard. .

Hey Rich, consider putting the parking brake on in your tow vehicle while you're loading or unloading the Sherp. All that back and forth swaying is being held by the parking pawl and it can only take so much of that before it snaps.

You can use an old tennis shoe to get more life and use out of those sandpaper pads. You just use the pad on the shoe and the rubber will ungunk the paper and will get you 30 or 40% more use.

You probably already know, so I could be speaking out of turn. But just remember to isolate as much as you can aluminum to steel contact. Bimetallic corrosion, galvanic series and all that stuff. Enjoy your channel. V8 in a Tesla, brilliant.

For flattening the fender that got hit: Use your torch to heat up the panel before and while bending back into (rough) shape. Way less chance of cracking

It fits the cyber futuristic look so well I would love one of those!!

I would have kept the original casing for the lights and replaced just the inside, the new ones doesn't fit as well, looking rather cheap. The silver finish looks great, but I would wrap it in that same color to hide all the joints and small imperfections. For the mud guards, maybe try to make yourself new slimmer ones to get some protection and still look sleek.
