A group of scientists claimed to have discovered a superconductive material nicknamed LK-99 that works at room temperature and ambient pressure, which could allow for huge technological advancements. Despite skeptical feedback regarding the research, stocks for companies with a perceived connection to superconductors have skyrocketed.
WSJ explains why investors are closely watching developments in superconductor tech and what would need to happen to bring a superconductor that works at room temperature and pressure to market.

The fact that a lot of labs can't reproduce and validate its superconductivity means that it's not a superconductor

Why would you even open up the manufacturing tips if you can make billions with the material? You think they researched 20 years to open up everything and increase other countries' economic productivity?

if a superconducting material is brittle , it will be very difficult to make it into a long flexible wire .

We already have high temperature superconductors, working at liquid nitrogen temperatures. So, yes, we know all too well how useless they are, and room temperature ceramic superconductor would not have been any different (if such a thing was even theoretically possible, which is highly doubtful).

I was not aware how much a superconductor could do. But this is so obviously amazing if it existed. Even more awesome if it could be made pretty cheaply.

I should have have known since the video is from WSJ, it would be, well, wont have any substance. But the title is "what is superconductors.." and video has exactly one sentence about it. I at least expected second sentence which describes *why* superconductors have no resistance. I think it's because at high pressure or very low temperature, electrons are more stable and oriented in terms of polarity right?

93% of the people of Bangladesh are demanding a free and fair participatory election. People's demand will be an election which will be led by a non-partisan neutral government. The people of the country do not want farcical elections like the last two elections. This government has no constitutional legitimacy because the people's vote did not elect this government. People will continue to fight for their civil rights, right to vote, right to speak, freedom and all basic rights. Note : - I would like to say again to the respected diplomats of my country, the more dialogue you have with the government of Bangladesh, the positive results will not come. Apply the third option to establish the democratic rights of the people because the time is very short.
