You're too uptight. Matt Gourley is one of the biggest Giger fans I know. This is a loving tribute.

They don't try, they succeed. Besides, Giger was pretty good, but he wasn't the be-all and end-all of surrealism. Face it, a lot of his work was very clichéd. Death=rotting skull. I do like his work though. His staircase drawings were amazing.
