This is Marissa's Roush 427 Superformance Daytona Coupe which was seen on the TV show "Overhaulin" by Chip Foose! The car makes around 550 horsepower and Marissa loves to rip it around, so sit back and enjoy the ride..

This was way nicer before...lol..you obviously dont have a good grasp of what looks good..that blue totally pops w/ the chrome wheels..as opposwed to that gray and silver that it was before..the gray & silver looked muted and dull

@@gdub454 Foose ruined this design. The owner might like it, but the next owner will change it ASAP. Foose often crosses the line to tacky and insists on oversized rims on every car.

@@truantray has it outside or not being familiar with all the original details of the car I think it looks much better. I'm assuming the dislikes are because it's disrespectful to change it from stock to something else. That's one beautiful car. That said, had it been an original aluminum one, yeah in that case, I think he would have f***** it up.

Those wheels look like they were bought from a Pep Boys in the early 2000's EDIT: IMO the car looked and would've aged better in its original form.

What a story! Just love it. Doug wasn't kidding when saying it is the best sounding Daytona on th e planet. To have any car done by Chip Foose is already a rarity. Always wondered what he'd do with any Cobra, Daytona or GT40... Those subtle Foose touches are amazing. So glad they use and enjoy their cars. Thanks Shawn, this was nice... 👍🏻

I just LOVE this car! The original coupes were designed to be a race car and Peter Brock only had 90 days to throw this thing together. If he had more time to design and build I'm sure he would have done some of the things that Chip did. In fact, as Chip was showing Peter the car, several times Peter would say; "Boy, I'm glad you did that!" or; "I'm glad you got rid of those I hated those!" Speaking of the head light covers. Anyway, to each their own, right?

@@wrld4116 It would be my preference to keep an updated version of the original wheels. I'm not big on the finish of the wheels either. Still an absolutely gorgeous car nevertheless.

100% agree the wheels have too much chrome! Maybe matt gun metal gray and the rest of the chrome blackened out.

When it comes to Shelby's I'm more of a purist and personally like them in there original form, not a big fan of Overhauling anyway but those wheels gotta go...I'm glad the owner is very happy with it and that's all that counts.

I honestly dig all the body changes minus the wheels, as I'm a fan of more simple wheel designs. The car sounds amazing, and the owner enjoys it so that's enough for me. Awesome vid as always man!

I’m pretty sure those hood latches are the same as the ones used on the Triumph Spitfire. The “m” on them stands for Michelotti, the designer of that car, as well as many other famous cars

Oh wonderful! Another piece of Foose jackleggery! Do the chrome pieces on this car remind anybody else of the chromed plastic Rock Auto parts with the adhesive tape on the back? This is what happens when you tell Pete Brock to hold your beer. The 65 Impostor, Mach Foose, and Lil Foose Coupe were all truly beautiful, but Foose Design has turned into a wheel and tire shop. You have a brilliant mind Chip. Use It.

I like the upgrade from the original taillights, which evidently came from a Lionel train transformer. And I grin, surely they were minimalist for competition, but those round Camaro taillights and bumper compliment that Kamm tail beautifully. And the wheels compliment the theme of the car, a modern take on flower power.

Great car! One of my all time favs! Side note as a sound engineer, may I recommend at least 3:1 compression on your mics? Levels up and down from shot to shot. 👍

Chip Foose really messed up the look with those Autozone hub cap looking wheels, the terrible chrome bumpers add-ons (trying to make it look like a 240z?), and the weird tail lights. The car is awesome other than what Chip did to it.

Love the fact Chip got rid of the cheaply mounted rivet fender scoops and molded them into the fenders, also the Camaro taillights and rear bumper really works on the large panel compared to the original plain out of proportion look it originally had.
