If Superman had stopped to grab someone from the falling debris, what would Zod be doing in that time frame? Not just crashing into the construction yard, but any time during that fight like when he was on the ground level. Do you think for the 2min Superman was saving someone he wouldn't look at those people and be chucking cars or something? To me this paralleled the origion Superman/Doomsday fight in which there were people trapped in a burning house and Superman was fully aware, but he couldn't stop to save them because DD was just too dangerous to be left alone for too long, and Superman had to gamble defeating him quickly with enough time to save them. This is a similar case. And to say he doesn't care is also not true because he was willing to kill in order to save them. Doesn't matter if it were some random family or a gaggle of burly manly men trapped in the corner, Superman was willing to kill basically a terrorist in order to save some innocents.

LOL I love when people state these things like they are facts. But it really depends which versions you are comparing. Sometimes she is, sometimes not. Fans seem to always forget that there is not only one definitive version of these characters, they are changing all the time.

Once that person becomes influenced by an outside force, this case - Silver Kryptonite- you're no longer speaking on an 'Apples-to-Apples' scenario between two Kryptonians. So, that said, if we take each and every situation where the two of them fought and she 'beat' him despite the reader knowing full well Superman has literally always held back against her through his own thoughts revealed for the reader to consider, I highly doubt she would truly beat him if push came to shove and she reached a point where Clark had no choice but to put her ass down. However, seeing as he's such a boy scout 99.99999% of the time, the idea of him reaching a point where he would need to kill, let alone her, seems moot. Everything else beyond this issue, to me, seems a lot like hypenosis and power creep had a drunken 3-some with artistic banality. Now she's suddenly stronger, faster, better than even Superman. Superman couldn't hope to catch the Flash, but she's suddenly just a step or two behind Flash now in speed? Superman has been placed in situations where his immense strength has spurred modern myth but here comes Supergirl to knock him down a notch because - Reasons. The Superman ethos itself tends to garner a bit of derision concerning just how all powerful he is and why some feel like he's boring because of that, yet here we are with Superman ver 2.0 - Now with 'Vagina' upgrade and it's just naturally accepted as 'Moar Betterer' - again, due to the all mystical, nigh infallible 'Reasons'. If you're looking for a strong, capable, fun female character, tokenism is not how you go about achieving it. P.S. She's turning into the DC equivalent of Captain Marvel. That's not a good thing.

GODMOON studios the TV show is kinda enjoyable. The story isn't as strong as the others but damn if it can be boring.
