The early nineties will always be remembered as the era of Acid Jazz and Funk for me. It did not matter if it was Oz, NZ the US or the UK it was all groove bass lines, brass and funky percussion. I wish we could bring that era back.

Che Fu is such a cool brotha, he was at a place trying to chill & I drunkenly interrupted him, making a fool of myself, looking back I feel like a complete douche but he treated me with absolute respect and was so calm, I love that dude.

Went to school with this dude. Table tennis at lunchtimes. Two years my senior but was the most approachable guy. Sang a song that made everyone bawl their eyes out in his last assembly. Could replicate Stevie Wonder like no-one else. Totally underrated. K-Bar

Must have been about 1990 at the Ruapehu Chatteau Tavern, having a few after ski drinks, SuperGroove played that night after an age issue was dismissed by the management following 200+ half cut patrons demanding them to let them play....Che Fu was just 16 years old. Ha! The power of the people. (Licenced Bar must be 18+ years old just to be in there)
