Zatanna is literally my FAVORITE superhero of all time! She can do just about anything and her entire concept is so original. It really sucks that she's not in mainstream media though.

Her concept is really original. But the thing is, some people thinks that "Zee is a copycat version of Wanda". Look at some pages. People writed things about that. İt burned me out.

@@-indulgency wanda was always my favourite character even before she got her own show and before being mainstream, 😭 even as a child she was my favourite avenger. I'm aware that she was created to be OP and and made before zatanna but both characters have their differences they are not completely alike.

Zatanna was an obscure DC character until Paul Dini included her in B:TAS. Dini's then-girlfriend, now wife is a magician named Misty Lee. He revived Zatanna largely as a loving tribute to her, which is pretty romantic.

I think she is pretty popular back then, a strong B-list character indeed like Green Arrow and Powergirl. She even become chairwoman at Justice League of America at Silver Age era (or Bronze if I wrong around chapter 190 to 230s issue), the first from outside the original seven.

Fran Madaraki She did pre-New 52. Grant Morrison had a run on her in Seven Soliders of Victory. Paul Dini also had a run on her before it got cancelled because the New 52. There were also some older ones but these are my fav. :D

Dovah Cheese Actually, it was Mattel that put the knife into the heart of YJ. _They_ were the ones selling the toys but the show was attracting the wrong demographics. i.e. Girls (horrors!), teens and young adults. The toy maker was targeting the "Teen Titans: Go"/"Batman: TAS"crowd.

She's definitely my favourite female superhero. When other characters are trying to save a plane they are in from crashing, they have to risk the lives of everyone involved. Zatanna just needs to say "enigne xif" and return to sleep. Also no one does palindromes as awesome as her, "stack cats", "nurses run", taking down opponents with a horde of cats and nurses.

Midsomnyx YA I found that interesting as well, though I think they may have done that to keep either keep the show grounded in a more realistic setting (Clayface I believe was the closest character to having super human powers or abiliteswithout needing weapons or special equipment), or so that there were no heroic characters that were more powerful than Batman at the time (Though this one gets thrown out the window once the Superman Series started and the New Batman Adventures were created.)

Interesting. I have an app on my phone that lets me play things I record backwards. Since Zatanna says all her spells backwards, I decided to try recording her spell at 4:28 and playing it backwards to see what it actually said. It sounded just as nonsensical as it did originally. Odd.

In the animated appearances of Zatanna her spells are in fact each word spoken backwards not the spell backwards. Example: ''put me in a red dress'' would be ''tup em ni a der ssed'' I an not familiar with if this applied to the comics as well, but I guess it is pretty safe to assume so.

In Paul Dini's run Zatannas power is limited to not being able to control or cast magic onto any human tissue or organism, thought this was cool because otherwise she is extremely OP Also would have liked to seen more about the death of her father because it plays a huge role on how she conducts herself as a hero

Zatanna is awesome! BTW, On Injustice: Gods Among Us: Ultimate Edition, Zatanna was voice by Lacey Chabert.

I like Zatanna a lot more pre-52 than new 52.Granted I haven't read much on the new 52 version, but she sounds a lot like she is a "Goth" type character. The original Zatanna had like this whole magician themed act, which was the reason why I liked her...
