Superleague Darts - Match Vlog - Episode 1! vs Victory Vikings

The first superleague match I have been able to record - a good insight to the standard that is required to compete and win at superleague level!
My team look likely to be scrapping for survival this year in our county's Premier League - we went on to lost this fixture 3-6.
I have now won 1 and lost 1 so far this season. Lots to take away from this game all the same, and plenty of room for improvement too.

Super League starts on Sunday for me, just as it draws closer the yips start to creep in. It's annoying because I'd not long had county call ups for Lincolnshire and averaging 25+ in Super League but now I'm struggling to find a 15 average. Kill me now. 😂

I really enjoyed watching that, only sorry you had a bit of an off day. Darts is such a weird game that way, some days it seems easy, some others, not so easy... at least, that's what it's like for me. Looking forward to watching the next one!

Glad to see a new video and to see you back on the board. Shame that you aren’t playing at your usual standard, but it’ll come. It interesting to see the standard of play and the whole vibe of a league game. I’m really going to have to see if I can find a team in the London area. Yep I said to him after I bought him his pint that he was a heartbreaker! He was solid though, 24.4 will win a lot of games so fair play

My Steel tip ave is around around 40 ppr... working on moving up, but starting with soft tip for 9 years, is tough to transition, at my skill level. Thanks for giving us an insight into these! I wish we had more steel tip around me!

Nice video mate. I was surprised by the quality of the checkouts in that game. It can be a bit disheartening if you are not getting a treble when you feel you are throwing good. Stay positive man, you've got a youtube channel! Hope you win the next one!

One other game I like is 180. You get three darts at each section. 1 for single 2 for double and 3 for treble. Best score. Add in semi and bull if you are feeling lucky

Loving the video Bryn, how was it to throw on the Samurai II board? i had one and found it was a little bit harder than my usual Blade 5.

Cheers Carwyn. I haven't had any abnormal bounce outs on it, it seems very reliable in that regard, although I've only play on it with these brand new darts so the points are sharp af. Not sure why, but visibly the trebles and doubles look smaller than a new blade 5

Mate, you really need to stop shaking your head and waving your hands around after every turn. It means your head isn't in the game and your opponent can see that.

Yeah i know, it was part of my game i had almost eliminated pre covid, but it has definitely snuck back in since we have been back playing after lockdowns. Certainly something to improve upon!

@@DartsClass Bloody Covid :) I think the best way to do that is use the bad turns as motivation to concentrate more on the next turn, most bad throws/turns, for me anyway, are the result of a poor follow through from lack of concentration. So as I approach the board after a bad turn I give myself a little come on in my head. I find that helps me, and I know every time I see an opponent starting to shake their head my confidence and game goes up.
