The scene where Lois walks in Bizarro was so fucking good. My heart actually sank for Lois for a couple of seconds before I remembered she’s a titular character with impenetrable plot armor. 👻

I think the reason we accept the drama stuff is that they don't make it linger. For instance Lois and Beppo's issues were honest but quickly resolved. Things last just enough time for us to be invested and not bored by it.

As a person that has had those panic attacks in MS/HS that scene of Sarah outside with Lana and Kyle was so well done. The short breath, inability to really talk, etc. was spot on. Sarah's actress killed it!

This episode was amazing, the outside barn scene with Sarah, Lana and Kyle was so perfect.

Thank God the show is back. Not only am I excited to see what's next this season, but I am uber excited for next week's episode, directed by Amy Jo Johnson (Kimberly from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers).

One thing I love about this show is that it doesn't drag out storylines. If Kyle's storyline was happening on The Flash for example, I feel like it would be drawn out for at least half a season. Another amazing episode, cannot wait for next week.

Although I understand Eric's point about the fights in this show being the same pretty much every time, I feel that this show excels at showing Superman saving people in different ways which is what he is more about, and what he should be more known for.

I just realized something in almost every superman depiction I know of the emphasis has been usually about his fathers: Jonathan and Jorel. Their advice their guidance. Jonathans heart attack made him go out into the world Jorels from the grave guidance. In this it has been change. Marthas death brings him back to smallville and now his mom is the one helping from the grave. It is somewhat a new perspective without ignoring his fathers

one thing i appreciate alot from this season is whenever Bizzaro is on screen they play the superman theme reversed. such a little but unique detail that I love

I love Lana. The Cushings drama actually ground the show and are our real connection to Smallville. Without them, the Kents don't have nobody to really connect to. Loved the Bizzaro and Superman fight. Ally reveal as the main villain was great.

As far as the Kyle situation, I like how he said that he's not like "F Him" and that he hopes it will work out, and I agree, but had this been last season when Kyle was majoring in A$$hattery I totally would have said, "F Him." That shows how this series has allowed its characters to evolve just in a season's time, so they aren't just one dimensional. I think that is true for every chracter on this series when you compare them from season 1 to season 2, all have evolved to some degree and aren't just "types."

Seems weird how they handled Sarah cheating and then do a really good job of Kyle cheating

Really enjoyed this episode. Glad we got to the point where we know now that Ally is going to be the big bad. Would be great if we get to see the ‘bizarro’ world version of all the characters and I'm invested in finding out what Ally's goals are and how she's achieving it (though I do think Sophie Cushing could be the real big bad of the show). Happy we’re getting to explore Jon more and they’re adding more dimensions to the character. After the traumas experienced in season 1 and feeling powerless to help his family we’re now seeing the repercussions of that and how addictive having power can be. General Lane is messing up here but it’s in character for him to feel he knows better than Clark & Lois bt I can see this going very bad. Laughed out loud when Superman said to Lois that maybe Bizarro was married to another version of her. I wonder if this one ends up living in the barn as well. Might be harder to explain though. The Cushing family drama was well done (except for the scene with Kyle and Tanya was badly worded/acted) and I really felt for them all, but it feels like a separate show, where I'm saying, "I'll watch Superman & Lois and then this show". So enjoying both but it can be a weird switch. Anderson really needs to let his ego go and interesting what Anderson said about the pendant and it powering Superman up, until then I thought the opposite and that it was taking power/life-force from Superman. I'm not sure Anderson is right as we saw Bizarro trying to destroy it. Really want to know what exactly it does. What I don't want to see is it giving Ally a way of controlling Superman, because her and Dr Faulkner wanted Bizarro out of the mines so they must have thought they had control at some point. I've so many questions that I need answered but so invested in finding out more.

I love that this show somehow makes the drama pretty good, I actually enjoy the Cushing family because they give us that human drama😭😂

You've answered your own question. A way to many Superman's fights more diverse than just haymakers all the time is multiple opponents. Having to go between multiple opponents would be more visually appealing. Also, Superman tends to have fights in isolated areas. If they were more in populated areas, he'd have to spend efforts saving civilians before getting back to the fight--although you'd have to either distract his opponent or be out of eyesight to explain why the opponent isn't attacking while Superman is saving innocent bystanders.

This show is a change in most superman depicts the impact of his fathers. Here it seems to be going for the impact of his mothers. Jonathan's death got Clark to leave home pursue his destiny. Marthas death brought him back to save his home ( in season 1) even while pursuing his destiny flying around the world to save people. Kalel was receiving guidance from his father in season 1 and now his mom in season 2

My biggest question now is whether Bizarro is from a world that is fully bizarro or if he was a normal Kal-El who was somehow corrupted and turned into his monstrous form? I kind of want it to be the former because I really want to see bizarro versions of the other characters but I’m ok with it being the latter.

spoilers I guess ...... my favourite line in this eps by far is when lana tells sara (summarizing here ) " we are not pretending, we will deal with it but celebrating you is what is important " just because being able to separate negative and positive emotions or to table them for a later time like that is a pretty good way to not ruin ur days and still deal with things in a collected manner just found it very interesting

Sarah seemed a bit hypocritical in her response to finding out her dad cheated on her mom. I'm not saying he didn't do a bad thing, but she JUST did the same thing to Jordan between seasons. She should at least be willing to let him explain.

Who is strong enough to grapple with Superman? In most fights he’s holding back because honestly in most fights if he was hitting as hard as he could, the opponent would explode from the impact, no one is pushing or pulling Superman unless it’s one of his top tier opponents like Doomsday, Bizarro or Mongul

Is it me or the Bizarro plot now a bit too reminiscent of last season with Steel?…I hope that’s not a sign of things to come with every season and it atleast goes in a different direction then that did. Even Lois’s villain now seemingly being the actual big bad is the same as last season too.. I still liked the episode though , especially felt bad for Kyle by the end. I am glad that the Chrissy thing did not go in the direction I expected and that she knows Ally is bad news already. Also , I was right seemingly in that the X-K would be affecting Jonathan’s personality to an extent (atleast making him more aggressive)…reminds me of Clark on Red K in Smallville.

Kyle cheating does make sense. He's an alcoholic and was spending a lot of time at the bar. She's the bartender. It doesn't seem left field to me. Like they didn't do it just for drama. Still love the show. Just wish we had more screen time for Superman.

The direction they’re going with Kyle breaks my heart, I loved his character by the end of last season. Just a guy doing what he thinks is best for his town even if he’s wrong, and being a big enough man to admit it eventually. Cheating, ESPECIALLY in a marriage, is one of those things I feel is unforgivable. I hope Kyle still gets to have a relationship with the girls because he clearly loves them, but Lana deserves so much better. If she stays with him there better be a damn good reason, because as of right now the thought of it makes me sick

I've been in a similar situation as Lana, with Kyle cheating on her like a jackass. I know the pain of having an unfaithful partner. While I love all the Man Of Steel action, I was sympathizing with Lana and Sarah the entire party scene.

This show is a good watch. It is beautifully filmed but NOT necessarily well written. Plenty of moments that elicit a huge eye roll. It is probably the best interpretation of Superman there has been on the small screen. The Jonathan storyline is totally predictable. Kyle is not a compelling story. Jordan is getting old. They need a twist this season to avoid becoming The Flash, which quickly became unwatchable.

Lol... Every time people talk about "non-duality" it just makes me laugh at them so hard. They can't see the obvious, right in front of their faces, and it's hilarious. Non-duality and duality form a duality. They also often talk about being "opposed to opposition" without even a shred of recognition being expressed from their minds. "I'm against being against things!" Yeah... Sure you are, buttercup. Sure you are. You know, it's a real shame that we don't teach basic, fundamental reasoning in schools. In fact, I see it as one of humanity's greatest failures.

The Bizzaro storyline is literally the only thing keeping me in tune to this season. I can't be the only one that thinks there's an abundance of whining this season from both male and female characters. It makes for way more drama than needed with everything that's already going on.
