Fun Fact: On the official SF5 soundtrack, F.A.N.G.'s theme is the 22nd track on the second disc, so it's referred to as "2-22", and the theme itself also loops after exactly 2 minutes. Just thought those were some cool ways of tying into F.A.N.G.'s obsession with 2.

That's because character tiers change every so often. Music tier list is great fun because it's so subjective. For me for example the S tier themes are M.Bison, Cody, G, Falke, Gill, Rashid, Ken and Laura.

This should've been a 2D tierlist, with "Song Slaps" and "Fits Character" on the axes. G's theme builds up, just like he does. Fang's theme has a weird tempo, just like he does. Kolin's theme does give me that wintery vibe, although the song itself isn't great. I'd love to see these for other games! UNi, MvC3, SF4, BBCF, and GGXrd all have great themes.

while a good theme, ryu's character theme is weak in 5. it comes nowhere close to suzaku castle, his rival themes in IV or the orchestral version.

Yeah, but it easily winds up being one of the best OSTs in a game. Awakening the Chaos (Nu-12/Lambda-13) and Walpurgisnacht (Nine) are probably the best themes in all of BB.

See I'm honestly not struck on most of the classic GG themes. You get the occasional real jams like a lot of the vs themes but Meet Again and BWBS are probably some of the only ones that I seriously adore. Oh, and Momentary Life. The XRD soundtrack or even Overtures outdoes it.

If someone told me all straight people are rapists I'd just laugh at them as would most straight people but if you said that about a gay or trans person they'd understandably be upset because there are less of them which means statements like that can change how the majority views them which could have disastrous consequences for them (like being subject to hate and violence). That's not to say that such statements are okay, they aren't and I don't condone them, but the world doesn't exist in a vacuum. There are more factors to consider than just "If this statement were reversed then it wouldn't be okay therefore it's just as bad" viewing the world through such a black and white lens is childish.

I liked the SFIV themes more in general, but Juri is just on a different level. Her theme went from like a top tier in Marvel to bottom tier in Fantasy Strike.

Juri’s theme was so good in SFIV I wouldn’t have minded if they quite literally put the exact same theme into SFV. It would have been fine. But instead they decide to make it the most unoriginal and boring thing just UGH I love Juri but her default design and her theme are just so disappointing.

It’s a very erratic theme. The moment it drops, it’s a good song. Kinda ominous. Someone once said it’s more of a “meet juri” theme than a juri theme, still, I think kolins is worse. Kolin theme boring as piss.

Think about it this way: How was Juri's portrayal displayed in this story vs SFIV? Juri was vengeful and on a vengeance streak in SF4 to kill Bison and Seth, so it makes sense she wpuld have a wilder theme. In SFV, she was more relaxed, doing her own anti-hero thing and stepping in when she felt like it. The more chill theme of SFV fits with her portrayal.

Man, Nash is S tier in my heart. I love everything about the guitar work, not to mention the final moments before it loops hit HARD. It is the theme for a tragically broken man, and it runs deep.

I say it should've been A tier. Nash is my favorite character, but I just know that there are themes that sound better than his. But yeah, the guitars and everything makes Nash's theme a pretty good remix of his theme from the Alpha/Zero games. And yeah, it does fit Nash's character.

This is definitely my favorite tier list video I've seen. Fighting game soundtracks just hit you in a different way. Man, now I want one of these for GGXRD...partly cause it's full of absolute bangers, but mostly cause I gotta know where Sajam ranks Birthday Train. What they did with most old school themes and characters as well is amazing. It's usually quite hard to do "more of the same but not exactly the same" and succeed. They did such small interventions, but with really good approach. For example, Karin's visual redesign is, what, 10% different, if that. But, it's extremely well done and it presents itself perfectly. The same goes for a lot of themes as well. Everyone is connected to the sf2ww Ken's theme and everyone would be pretty cool with it just being pasted in sfv. A new rendition of such a classic old theme is always scary. Funny thing regarding G's theme. It stuck in my head while I was watching something about similarities between him and Q and how Q is probably G that got messed up somehow or ruined in some way. So, the theme really started to seem like a pretty melancholic, gloomy buildup theme at that point and that sentiment never left me.

I love Fang’s theme because it perfectly embodies his whole character: A villain with a goofy, borderline Dan-like exterior that obscures a genuinely dangerous fighter. P.S. it’s nice to see Fang be high on some tier list.

Cody's theme in SFV sounds more cheerful and lighthearted. It seems to express Cody being finally free. No prison clothes, no cuffs, and now he is the mayor. Cody's theme in SFIV sounded more somber and serious, which does seems to fit a man who is just bored and wants to find his next fight while at the same time being restrained by his cuffs and his criminal status. Cody's theme in SFV seems to express freedom and no need to worry about being restrained anymore. =)

I prefer Cammy's theme when it being ripped open with guitars, but the SFV track gave it boppin' smooth flow.

Can’t wait for Makoto’s theme...But my favorite theme in SFV atm is Guile’s lol it’s too good! Second would definitely be Karin and then would probably be Lucia, cause hers slaps hard then Zeku for sure. They did my girl Juri so dirty lmao, I love Cammy’s theme in every game it fits her character.

This was extremely smart!! Never thought about this.. there are some new themes I can put in my ost folder, especially that Rashid.. Edit: very upset about about Balrogs theme in this game, was better in previous games..
