The beep was so delayed because the person in charge of the beep button was still confused how someone could only get 127 dollars worth of stuff in 2 minutes and 20 seconds.

Another "big win" in this episode of the same season (1992-93) season. After accumulating $1,180 worth of groceries, in addition to the $600 in bonus specials, Dennis & Amy added $5,000 to that, that gave them a grand total of $6,180.

Yeah, that was stunning. I knew she lollygagged out there, but I was expecting at least 300 bucks in groceries, which still wouldn't have been very impressive. She wasted time on the shopping list, but I think she was just physically slow. She was up against 2 very fit men.

Jo Wats Shopping list, not shopper's special. She had the lead in time, and the bonuses' intent was to make the difference between winning and losing.

With those bonuses, you risk losing time and that's what happened with Team #1. I personally would've focused on the shopping and ignore the bonuses all-together, except the coffee since I love coffee!

I noticed that not very many teams went for the shopping list when they introduced the sandwich. The risk of using too much time for the shopping list is just too great for the extra $50.
