Funny, I was just watching a J2 panel from a con they did a few weeks ago, and Jensen mentioned this episode. They were asked for recollections of working with James and Charisma. Jensen explained how he really did the stunt of being pulled through the French doors, and James was like, “You guys are insane!”.

I met James Marsters at Comic Con Scotland in October and he was a lovely man, very humble. And he looks exactly the same as he did in this episode.

For all the people out there who ask why the boys let the witches go, they tried to kill them and couldn't, which is why they had to try talking them down instead. The boys were lucky to get out alive!

Yeah, I'm not usually one for trying to force someone to talk when they clearly don't want to, and Sam is being pushy. However, Dean has a long history of not talking unless circumstances force his hand in some way, and he has a history of severe depression that I think might be motivating Sam to pry more than he normally would. He just lost Castiel in a brutal way, and as far as we know, Dean hasn't said more than 2 sentences about it. I can't blame Sam for being very concerned here.

Thank you for saying the bust didn't really look like James Marsters. I was thinking that whenever it showed up in this episode. :) Also, good job whoever blurred the names of the guest stars.

When _Supernatural_ meets Buffyverse!

I was also easily ready to gloss over all the horrific death in the episode so long as James and Charisma’s characters didn’t die . . . even if it seemed out of character for them, especially Dean, to let that slide. Worked for me 😊

I'll always have a soft spot for this episode! It was the one they were filming during VanCon in 2011 and we got to see some of the sets and so. So that was memories of a lifetime. The season itself is very up and down. So much i wish they would have done different. But there's some awesome episodes in there too.

I had to watch your reaction again just to see how excited you get seeing James and Charisma. Such a fun (and gross) episode!

Sam and Dean investigate three bizarre deaths in the same town and learn that the victims are all tied to a real estate developer, Stark. They soon realize that his wife, Maggie, is a witch and has learned that he had an affair and is striking down anyone close to him.

When I tell you that I screamed like a high school fangirl crushing on a boy band, when I saw James on the show....OMG!😯🤯 They gave us 2 Whedonverse alumni...3 if you count two episodes ago when Dean killed Amy (bka Kaylee from Firefly). I know Ben Edlund had to have a hand in it. He's a Whedonverse alum himself. So many from the Whedonverse has been on the show and/or worked on this show. This universe is adjacent to the Whedonverse, along with: How I met your mother, Leverage, the MCU, and Roseanne (Joss briefly wrote for the show, and we also got Glenn Quinn Aka Doyle, from there). I get so animated when I see anybody, whether in front of or behind the camera, from that universe because they look out for one another. Idk who blurred their names for you so that you'd be surprised, but thanks. Great call. I was hyped for the reveal for you. And so glad to know you're a staple Buffyverse fan. You understand their importance. 🤗🥰👌🏾

I absolutely loved this episode as well. Not just because of the wonderful casting of Charisma and James but because I actually like it. the banter and fun and how it mirrors Sam and Dean and hello Dean,talking saved the day. Plus the way Don dealt with the Leviathan. it was such a fun ride then you add it guest starts that just kill it and give us the added nods of having Cordelia married to spike and yeah its just awesome.

I knew you’d love this episode! Sadly we don’t see the duo in future seasons. But this brings three Buffy guest stars on this show. Well if I recall Freddie was more Angel than Buffy show but we did get her in the first season. Next episode is wild and honestly I am surprised no government forces have taken the boys down.

If anyone reading this is feeling stupid today, know that I somehow clicked on this video without registering who was in the thumbnail. So I spent minutes trying to remember who was in this episode.

This episode is weirdly memorable for me because the witches speak Romanian when casting spells and they do a piss poor job of pronouncing it😂😂😂 first time I watched the episode I was like wtf is that real....now I always have a giggle hearing that gibberish😂😂.

Happy New Year! Wow... you look soooooooo lovely today. Anyhow, yes, this was a good episode. It was fun seeing Spike and Cordelia together here. Yes, this episode offers a powerful metaphor for the importance of communicating with each other when you're in a long term relationship.

the Buffy reunion no one ever expected. i lost my mind the first time I watched this haha. still angers me all these years later how Whedon screwed Cordelias character in Angel. all because he was being an ass about being her pregnant! it is so crazy hearing James Marsters in his regular voice.

lol funny how so many buffy actors in this show and how the ghost facers reference buffy early on with WWBD (what would buffy do)
