And they topped it by FINALLY bringing God in. "We should probably talk." YA THINK!!! PRICELESS reaction when they finally met God and realized who he actually was. Though I DO wish we'd gotten to see Cas interact with God besides them sharing scenes after Lucifer was ejected from Cas. You think they'd have a few things to talk about especially as God confirmed he's the one that keeps bringing Cas back.

One of my favorite fanfics has Dean succeed in saving Mary with his warning to her creating an alternate timeline where he nearly dies in the nursery instead. This Cas who was stranded when time changed saves him and Dean grows up with Cas as a protector. At first he's like this but spending so much time with Dean growing up makes him more human. At the end of the story Cas sacrifices his Grace and himself to end the threat of the Apocalypse forever. He only sacrificed himself due to the situation as all they needed was his Grace and when he agreed to give that up, he told Dean, who was 16 at the time, that he didn't mind a human life as long as he got to spend it with Dean. There were HINTS of Destiel when Dean was older in the story but that was it. Cas ended up being resurrected by Gabriel though he came back human and he joined Dean as his hunting partner rather than Dean returning to a normal life when the world wasn't in peril like the rest of his family did.

That... is a very accurate description 😍 I never watch TV- seriously, about 4 years ago, I just happened to catch the season 3 finale on TNT (or maybe it was TBS??), where they were airing a Supernatural marathon of reruns, and I instantly fell in love, and watched everything up to the season 5 finale, which was a perfect and fitting ending. So when they announced that the show would continue without Kripke, I was so excited, cuz as perfect as it was, I still didn't want it to end... I stopped watching after the Leviathans killed Cas, and he didn't immediately reappear- I was already pissed with how out of character they had Cas with the whole God!stiel arc... Anyways, I recently saw that Cas was back, and started watching again, and even tho I think it shoulda ended after season 5, I keep watching, mainly for Cas and Dean's relationship. I barely watch TV, I don't do Tumblr, and I was never into shipping- but I'll be damned if Cas and Dean dont have some love there, and belong together! I couldn't give a fuck less about Jensens nasty attitude when fans ask him about Destiel at cons, or what the writers say- As far as I'm concerned, it's a thing, whether they wanna acknowledge it or not. LOL so thanks for that comment... I don't really read fics, but have u read "Twist and Shout"? It should be required reading for all Destiel fans. 😄😍😘😚😣😢😳😭 Sorry for typing a book, LOL

Even the demons didn't believe in angels for a while. Lucifer was locked up and all the garrison were essentially hands-off. Azazel might have been the only believer left.

This gets touched in an earlier season, when Sam thinks there is an Angel involved...in the end, it was just a ghost. Dean basically says he only believes in things he has seen or for which there is lore or believable accounts. And up to this points, Angels never came much in contact with humans, so no hunter ever encountered them. Sadly, with the entire Men of Letters plotline later on, this got completly erased...
