Thanks for the tour Case. I just bought a new J electric last year because I was wasting too much of my life on the hydraulic, even though I enjoy the whole firewood deal. My new machine is really almost too fast to the point that now I may sell firewood so I can split more, ha! Thanks again for the video I really enjoyed seeing where my machine came from and enjoy your videos. Nice family too. God bless

Great video, good questions, detailed answers. I picked my J model up there maybe 15 years ago, my dad bought the heavy duty about 6 years back . He's in his eighties now and still lifts the wood manually, so I've been thinking about the log lift idea. I'm thinking about a detachable hinged ramp long enough to load about five rounds on. If it had a tall frame at the far end with a boat winch he could crank the ramp to level and all five rounds at once.

Congratulations on 1000!!! Thanks for the video. I just purchased an HD model and received it at the end of last year. Paul and co were very helpful. Paul answered my questions graciously and without pushing me to purchase anything. I’ve put 4.5 plus cords through it so far. I love it. I’ve thought about the log lift too. But noodling and wedges are working well. The issue with big rounds would be for me. 1 manhandling the rounds around until it separated. 2 putting the big pieces somewhere until I’m ready for it. I have the tow hitch and love it. I tow it to the tree I’m processing. I’d just like to have an easily removable or quick attach tow hitch so I didn’t have to work around it. I usually load right into my side x side and then haul the firewood to my stack. But I don’t center my side x side so I can stack it in the box from the side I’m splitting on to maximize my load. Can’t wait for part two. Keep up the great work.

Great comment. Thanks Chris. Sometimes I wish I'd of went with the HD. When I ordered mine though they still had the 75 lb flywheels like the J models. Glad you enjoyed the video. Part two should be out Friday at noon Eastern Time :)

Just got a new SS Model J. Picked it up at their shop in MA. Fantastic machine. Split 3 cords on day 1. Highly recommend it. Highly recommend Super Splitter. Ordered the machine and it was ready when promised.

I ordered one from DR. It broke within one hour. Had to ship it back at considerable expense. Went with the Super Split and haven't looked back. A log lift would be nice for those large diameter rounds.

Sorry to hear that. I've heard quite a few negative reviews on the DR flywheel splitters. SuperSplit is the original and you'll seldom hear any bad reviews on them. I'm glad you're enjoying yours. Here is my custom log lift I made for my SS. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bbSUgrqn25_Xf5c.html

@@peteantos-ketcham3493 Here is an idea for a manual lift using a rope, rope pulley, a high framework to hold the pulley and a pair of tongs on one end of the rope. To use it, apply the tongs to the piece of wood and pull downward on the rope causing the wood to be raised up. When it is the height that you want then push it over a little onto the splitter and loosen the rope.

That's funny I was just talking to the wife about my Axis.. and that we could have bought 2 supersplits and still had money left over before I logged into KZfaq and seen this video. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love my Axis but it's not the super splitter

That’s funny. The EM units all look very nice. I understand what you’re saying though. There’s something special about SuperSplit. For the longest time they were a very niche company that not many knew about. Almost like an underground splitter world favorite. Now with the internet it’s a little different.
