purane photos dekh ke koi ek period movie bana sakta hai ... devika ko sari pahnte dikha sakte hai ... sari pahanne ki training di hogi kisine ... sulochana (ruby myers) ko bhi ... hindi urdu sikhai hogi ... lata umbrella le ke kam ki talash mei aayi hogi ... ghulam haider had accompanied lata for her first job and when director rejected her saying her voice as too thin ... at which point haider made a prophecy that someday you will fall at lata's feet and beg her to sing for your movie

In my opinion this is one of the best story you have covered. Please share the actual condition with film makers association to take care the remaining building of the studio. As per my submission places like this should be visited by the students of film making institutes.

DeeptiJi,thank you for taking viewers to a sentimental yatra to tirth sthal of Mumbai movie In ndustry.I lived in Malad since 1955,did not know then that Malad is home to great pre Bollywood film industry full of optimistic,hardworking talented people blessed with are and skills.I sense your deep emotions and see going to this area with only few leftover memories that do have great story to tell and is indeed a historic place.I enjoyed your commentary on the way.Some actors like Nazir Hussain and Asit Sen used to live in Malad.Thank you.

@@saarajahanwithdeeptisharma nice to know all comments are read and many replied.One of my neighbours was related to actor sajjan(chalti ka naam vadi,Johny Mera naam)used to visit them .I worked as"extra" as a teen in classroom scene for movie"faraar" a 1963 production.If you wish and can,meeting aged forgotten musicians and less known actors will have great stories to record and share.Kne Mr Irfan and another Muslim anchor have done in past for showsike virasat.🙏

Amen ❤ Although Bombay Talkies has restarted its operations from a different locality n building in mumbai. It has been restarted by Maharishi Azaad, the grandson of the studio’s co-owner, Rajnarayan Dube. Having made 2 films their next film will hopefully start soon but yes, as you yourself said it would be really great and magical to see this structure up and running ❤😊
