Thanks for your helpful videos. I always had mood swings during PMS EVERY month, so that's really driving me crazy. As if 1/4 of my life is destined to be out of my control -_-" and just ruining my plan or slowing things down.... I know I shouldn't feel this way but I can't help it.... I regularly eat omega 3, and I'll add calcium and magnesium during my pms period. Thanks Dr. Shelley :)

I have PMDD and I mean the anxiety and depression is REAL! and was told to take PMS Tonic by Vitanica, 5 HTP-500 by Pure Encapsulations, and Nature’s Bounty Anxiety and Stress Relief. Do you think those could really help with the PMDD? Thank you either way and stay safe!

I would start with that product, the 5htp might be a bit strong but could help. And I encourage you to explore so of the options in the video series too.

Hi Dr. Meyer, I’ve had severe menstrual cramps for nearly 20 years. Some other symptoms include, fatigue, mild nausea, and ruptured cysts. All the doctors I’ve seen have only recommended birth control (which I do not take). Do you have any recommendations? Thank you so much!

I'm sorry you are suffering, and no birth control is not the only option. I would recommend checking out the info on my channel on PMS and on Estrogen Dominance. These are the things I usually start with with my patients. If these don't help I recommend checking to see if you have endometriosis, and if so finding an endometriosis specialist you can work with.

Hi Doctor ❤️ Can I take both Vitex and EPO to manage PMS? I'm suffering from painful breast tenderness, mood swings (quite depressive) and recurrent migraine almost every month. If so, can I begin taking them just 2 weeks before my estimated period? What is the best time of the day to take them - can I take those before sleep? Thank you.

Hi! I am sorry you are having those symptoms and yes they cab be taken together and best to start them 2 weeks before your period. They can be taken at any time but the epo is best with a meal that has some fat in it to help absorption. Vitex and be taken with that meal too.

It depends, sometimes it can be enough to just take them during the second half of your cycle, or even just a few days before your period.

I had not heard of this and had to look it up. It looks like it has a good baseline mix of ingredients so it could help, particularly the b6, evening primrose and mangesium. I don't like that they use folic acid and not folate so if you have the mtfhr snp (you would only know this if you had done genetic testing) then it's best to stay away from folic acid- it won't necessarily harm you but won't be processed by your body well. Otherwise it looks ok but I also encourage you to check out the supplements in the video and the recommendations in the description part of this video as the could be helpful. Thanks for watching!
