I hate the new nordics too! >.< Dear god, I was so hyped when I discovered that there was a Nordic deck in the Legendary Heroes thing... Then I found out that it was this piece of... *flips table * Like, seriously? Why try so hard in not trying to make Nordics into a good deck? I mean, was a link monster even needed when the archetype was terrible enough at swarming that having 2 Aesirs in the field was basically impossible anyway? And even if you were able to, one Aesir would've probably floated by then and so it wouldn't be in the extra monster zone... I'd much rather have some swarming tools and maybe some recursion from the banished zone than this... Oh, and a Field spell that made the effect of the Aesir quick effects please. Or... Dunno, make a spell that searches for Fenrir/Jomungandr from your deck and put them in your hand, and make it so that you can banish it from your graveyard to double Fenrir's attack or whatever, then we could make a dumb AesirCrashesIntoFenrirOTK or something. God, I hate the new Nordic supports soooooooo much.

What Nordics/Aesir really need is either a good boss monster or an orcust type field spell that allows the Norse Gods to activate their effects on the opponent's turn.

well my deck idea isnt exactly consistent, since i like it to be more pure without shoving it with a bunch of meta cards like sky strikers or infinite impermanece but i like to put "keeper of dragon magic" in the deck since he can search neos fusion as well as reviving a previously used neos or a neo spaciain from GY

@@caswellweird I'd recommend hand traps along with a nice Nordic set up. I'd also recommend running Mound of the Bound Creator along with Ra Sphere Modes or Kaijus or something else. Aka it's best to run a Nordic engine in a deck based around new counter card's to supplement inherent weaknesses. I believe it is fun but without 3 field searchers, it's odd to run Mound of the Bound Creator now.

I feel like the issue is not just the only 3 monsters that matter needing retrains but the need for an actual effort at cool Norse monsters. Where's Magni and Modi, dwarves turning into dragons dragons, and an immortal Baldr who can only be destroyed by a specific method? We got some goats, generic angel things, and clouds. They are actual references but far from anything anyone can get excited about and I think that reflects the attitude of the creators.

It's been well known the anime treated Nordics better e.g: the god cards were divine attribute and classed as divine-beasts not to mention the self revives each turn... And yeah I wish they explored Norse mythology in the card design too... :/

A Level 4 Earth Machine with 1800 attack & 500 Defense (Making it searchable by Box) When this card is normal or special summoned. You special summon 1 Ancient Gear monster from your hand. Ignoring the summoning conditions. Also when this card attacks ignore backrow. It's a Marauding Captain that helps shit out Golem easily.

Gadgets counts as ancient gear so yeah

well i kinda had an idea for a rank 3 madolche monster. madolche palace square knight rank 3 earth warrior - 2 madolche monsters stats - doesn t really matter once per turn during either players turn you can detach 2 materials from this card, special summon a madolche xyz monster from your extra deck on top of this card. while this card is an xyz material of a madolche xyz monster, the xyz monster can use its effect during either players turn. you can only use both effects of "madolche palace square knight" once per turn. oh, and the name is supposed to be a joke on the german chocolate brand "ritter sport". Ritter is german for knight (the company is named after the founders surname), and the chocolate they produce is shaped like a square and they even use being shaped like a square as part of their marketing. and well i couldn t think of anything else that fits the madolche theming. basically detaching 2 turns tiaramisu into a quick effect which also allows you to trigger the effects of ticket and chateau yourself during your oppoennts turn.

I also do agree that Puddingsis’ existence means that Brilliant Fusion isn’t the only Madolche deck that you can play, I could see a more control oriented build being viable, running Madolche monsters and lots of backrow, and possibly stun monsters to stall until you have the OTK ready.

I think Aqua Dolphin is gonna get banned because of that.
