It can work out even though him being away in the army and the kids complicate things. The young lady needs to stay firm, polite, and cordial while enforcing her boundaries. Therefore, while she sparkles with joy and light, the future MIL comes across as even more viscous, evil, and spiteful directly and indirectly attacking someone that is basically fighting back by not fighting. Of course, she also needs to make sure she documents it in a private way like a diary and in digestible morsels let her fiance know what is going on, why she feels she can not leave the kids with grandmother and why his mom his stressing her out - behavior to her, stuff she is saying to others about her, court, etc. Besides the fact that she needs to keep in mind that as a deployed soldier he needs to be able to keep his head level to stay focused on his work, he needs to come to his own conclusion if and how he changes his relationship with his mother. If she tries to force it, and he is not ready, the future MIL will get her wish.

I believe grandma’s time was not respected and she was misinformed and kept out of the loop on important information about the arrangements. This caused a lot of frustration and animosity. Grandma didn’t know she would be stuck with the children for months at a time without any money for support and her time. Kids need entertainment money as well as food and clothing. Unfortunately, family will take advantage of your time and will try and make you feel bad when you call them out on it. As for the son helping to pay his Mom bills doesn’t need to be addressed because he’s not legally married. The mother bin law seems petty but I think the "mother" of the kids doesn't care about her kids either. She needs to realize she's a mom now and ficus on being a parent, influence her children, not the world. Her children should be her world.

I could not have been watching the same video as you because the mother of the children displayed absolutely no narcissistic behaviours, while the mother in law acted like she was following a guide for narcissists. The MIL was rude, lied and only changing her story when forced with evidence by the judge, she belittled her future daughter in law, she is acting this way because her son did not choose to marry the girl she picked out for him, she mocked the food choices her future DIL made, she made this claim in court when her son was not available to testify and possibly even know she was doing it. Talking under her breath, making unsubstantiated claims against the FDIL, constantly interrupting, mocking any emotion the FDIL made (I say this even though I personally have a very negative view on crying in this sort of situation), she refuses to accept that her son could be any things other than perfect therefore could never love or have chosen Tracey as his future wife or mother of his children. She looked like she was delighting in the torment she was delivering, and seemed to honestly believe that she was somehow the victim in this whole situation. The fact that the FDIL would even ask about counselling shows that she does not want to drive a wedge between her MIL and her children and fiancée . I would not be surprised to find out that the MIL ends up having little or no contact with her grandchildren, or for the family to go no contact with her. Why would anyone want to have such a horrible toxic person in their lives? I can only hope that this whole thing was an act to try and get Internet famous.

If she's not making any money off of it and expects Gma to watch the kids for a week at a time out of pocket... Tracey can get a part time job or something while she works on her pet project trying to be instafamous.

Miss Miller ran this courtroom! That judge didn't correct her once! I usually love this judge. She's usually very fair no matter who's before her. This time she was being racist as shit!

Tracey needs to get an actual job. She is litterally leaving her kids with a woman who hates her guts in order to pursue a job that may never pay or take off. Her priorities should be the kids that she had. Being gone for a week and only seeing your kids for like 3 days before you take off again is terrible parenting. I can understand why the MIL is annoyed by Tracey to a certain extent. Tracey needs to get a real job and stop letting a person who hates her raise her kids. She is caus8ng her own stress and sadness so I can't feel all that bad for her. MIL is obviously out of line but Tracey isn't making it any better.

The MIL is probably in her 60's .... RAISING a 3 and 4 year old FULL TIME. I don't condone her antics, but I can relate to the MIL. Yes, she needs to get a real job where she's HOME everyday.... and not on VACATION!! PERIOD!! Hell, why can't she vlog about being a stay-at-home mom and involve the children? Who pays for her travel blogging expenses?? Something just ain't right! I hope the son doesn't marry her .... she's not capable of being a good mother if SHE'S already not making her children a priority. The clues are evident....

I agree with you about it being the best option to keep her life happy. But it's hard to do that when one of the spouses wants to be around her.

The MIL needs to get a job and pay HER OWN BILLS. I'm 76 and still work to pay mine. What kind of person let's their son pay her bills? While the son is deployed Tracy should check into assistance for child care. Maybe put her travel job on the back burner till he gets home.
