There needs to be a large designated are set up for them to pitch their tents. I'm sure their are plenty of places besides the sidewalks. For many people shelters haven't been safe places.

we're giving ukraine money now so that russia doesn't become a bigger (and more expensive problem) later. it is deplorable how veterans are treated, but we also have to be realistic about international politics and what we need to do to keep the world from tipping to the bad.

That can happen two ways, I think. Developers can build sufficiently more rental units and/or renters start leaving the area in enough numbers that push up the vacancy rate.

Another option to consider is to relocate to an area where vacancy rates are high, putting downward pressure on rents. Areas in the Dakotas and Nebraska are like this. In Fargo, ND you can get a nice 1-bedroom apartment for $550-600/month.

Why make billions once off of one event when you can allow the situation to fester and run for office on it indefinitely, making billions ALL OF THE TIME?

YES. it'd be so simple to give homeless people an actual address that they can put on applications. it's such a cheap solution and gets everyone out of the way

People are on the streets because any $ they have goes to drugs before ANYTHING else. A lot of them don’t want the responsibility of rent, utilities and a job. I say keep moving them on until they get their life together.

Demoralizing? To the children? Maybe children should learn to be thankful for what they have, and realize not everyone has it so easy. I work at a restaurant here in Houston Texas. Things have been really difficult as I'm a single mom and trying my best to pay bills and take care of my daughters.

Most people who are addicted to drugs do not want to live too far from their drug dealers. Essentially, the dealers are as responsible for the vagrancy as the drug addicted transients themselves are.

Many, many are veterans suffering PTSD because our government threw them in a war that was never meant to be won. And with so many places closing due to thefts and violence because the law is slack, where is even a healthy homeless person going to find a job unless they are self-employed? If this country could find decent housing for illegals who are pouring unbidden into this country, why can't we find decent housing for these homeless people who need a leg up, a helping hand, medications for the mentally ill, detoxing for the addicted, psychotherapy for the veterans, and an honest job for those who, unfortunately like I was once, found themselves homeless through no fault of their own? I don’t think anyone has a clue what it’s like to be homeless in the heat of summer or cold of winter. No showers or laundry facilities. No calm and quiet spot for the homeless to sit down and relax. Being homeless is a lot of work 24/7.

Great question, as a volunteer social worker, I think they should be starting with people who actually want help Now, instead of chasing after people who are not ready.

Great question, many factors. Mental health issues with no place to go, Drug and alcohol addiction.= refusing to enter treatment. Loss of housing due to increased costs. Many American's are only a couple of months away from homelessness if economic situation changed. Lack of family support when above situations happen.

Homelessness was an issue in the DJT administration. Starting increasing in 2008

Trump put all of these people on the supreme court. Which is who did this.

Helping with their applications and resumes if they haven't worked in a year or two, getting them enough household furnishings, just to start of course. Some modest cookware, dishes, utensils, maybe a small TV, microwave, bedding. May need deposits to start electricity, and landlords may want first and last, possibly a security deposit. Let's see......At a minimum my guess is $3000. Extremely conservative I think. Multiplied by how many people? A few thousand. So... great plan! You have the $6 million to do that? Please, carry on!
