OG Ma is a streetwear legend. Born Lam Zie, she moved to the U.S. from China in the early 1990s. She fell in love with street style, and was rocking Supreme back when it was still a niche brand among skaters. One of the first people to realize you could make a fortune selling cult brands on the resale market, she opened Unique Hype Collection in New York City’s Chinatown. Today, the shop has become the go-to place for all things Supreme. She’s got fans in Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott, and everyone wants to have their photo taken with OG Ma, the icon herself.

Yeah, I can understand Cantonese, she stuttered mid-sentence and said the sentence again. Like if I just rewrite it word for word in English which is just bad grammar but if it's rewritten in full English, it's like this. So obviously they just paraphrased it. That’s not true, she pays a smaller fee plus retail of the item then paying resell. For example a hoodie is 168 USD, she buys it for 350 from a reseller and then sells it for 600.

Watching a documentary on Netflix on hype. These brands require "hype" are overpriced. Hype has no value. The only things that makes it overpriced is not the uniqueness but the low amount of stuff produced by pasting a name on it (which the company stole the font and color from a woman). This "brand" is the equivalent of putting a NOS or Rockstar energy drink sticker on a car. Lol.

I know right? Supreme makes nothing original, and every single thing they make is just their red box logo slapped on it. Nothing else. They don't do collaborations or make other pieces. Just red box logos. I know nothing about Supreme but this is what the internet has told me. Supreme is also bad because Barbara Kruger invented Supreme and Supreme stole it from her. She invented white text in red boxes and "supreme" stole it from her. This is also what the internet has told me.

Justin don’t believe everything you find on the internet. First of all, supreme doesn’t only make pieces with their logo on it. Many of their pieces are intricately designed and from first look someone might not know it has any relation to the brand. Each season only a few products are released that have the logo plastered on it. Second of all, supreme has done dozens, maybe even hundreds of collaborations with other companies including north face, vans, Swarovski, cdg, hot wheels, Santa Cruz, fox, Johnson & Johnson just to name a few. Third of all Barbara Kruger didn’t “invent supreme”. She created a design which was used by supreme after. Supreme wasn’t a large street wear design brand to begin with. They were a small skate shop in New York.
