Another example is the trump one where they show portions of his comments that did exactly what the daily news feeds did. So, I'm 16 minutes into this story and I sit and ask myself, " where do the average, everyday working class American citizens factor into all of this?" Very, very true.. Politics on the local, state, national, & international level --- is ALWAYS about individuals & political parties acting in their own self-interest regardless of the actual needs of working class people.. @@southernbanker1946 Its not going anywhere near 'that'. The 'progressives' have fallen heavily out of favor in the Govt. There is a better than average chance Pelosi won't even be speaker. The senator from West Virginia Joe Manchin has already stated he is against the Progressives in Congress as are several others. The democrats are hurting because this 'blue wave' that was supposed to happen didn't. In fact, the GOP gained several seat in the House, so far and the Senate GOP only lost 1 seat so far, chances are there will be no more loses. Trump got almost 40 percent of the African American Vote which is just incredible. IF the democrats try to go too far to the left, in 2 years you will see another 1994 or 2010 again with huge GOP gains. Trump still has a chance, better than 50/50. Guliani has a lot of documentary evidence and video evidence of election 'irregularities' to present to the Federal Judges that the appeals are going to end up in. Its all Ultimately going to the Supreme Court anyway. They are gonna 'rule' on this or they are gonna not hear it at all which I cannot imagine will happen. Question: isn't the role of a Supreme Court Justice about not following their own opinion, but upholding the laws that are laid out in the Constitution? I thought they were experts in constitutional law, and every case that comes before them has to do with making a decision based on whether it follows the Constitution. Am I wrong?
@Matt-cr4vv11 ай бұрын
The constitution isn’t black and white. It’s very general and what it does or doesn’t allow is opinion. Judges interpret based on how they evaluate law. Thus naturally the way you interpret law (strict textualist vs living constitution for example) is inherently an opinion.

The Democratic-Republican Party, better known at the time under various other names,[a] was an American political party founded by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison in the early 1790s that championed republicanism, political equality, and expansionism. The party became increasingly dominant after the 1800 elections as the opposing Federalist Party collapsed. The Democratic-Republicans later splintered during the 1824 presidential election. One faction of the Democratic-Republicans eventually coalesced into the modern Democratic Party, while the other faction ultimately formed the core of the Whig Party.

Sorry, but the stakes are too high for the right. They have increasingly been on the ropes since FDR win in 1932 and began implementing the New Deal to cope with the immense economic depression. Repubs and other conservatives were aghast at the overt violation of the traditional American expectation of near-complete self reliance and swore on the BIBLE that they would take down New Deal liberalism and any other form of socialism or socialist-capitalist hybrid. Fast forward to the 1950's and the Cold War, when the politically menacing Soviet Union was on the March through the Third World, exploiting outrage over centuries of colonial oppression. In reality, the USSR could have cared less about "liberating" TW people from the miseries of colonialism; they just wanted to acquire client-state allies in key locations to give the USSR a strategic military advantage they could use in an attack to destroy the U.S. and then have free access to all the resources the Soviets needed but could not afford to purchase with their hard line socialist/communist economy. Understandably, the right deeply mistrusted and feared the USSR and anyone who appeared to sympathize with or adopt a permissive stance towards socialism, communism, and even moderate politically DEMOCRATIC liberalism.I So, here you have it. America's insoluble political troubles stem from our deeply devout and conservative Christian heritage, resultant belief in self-sufficiency and individual responsibility, immense, existential fear of all non-conservatism, and also, moral disapproval and mistrust of African-Americans, LatinX persons, and Native Americans. We'll just have to see what comes next, won't we...
