Narrated Ma’qil bin Yasar (رضي الله عنه)
That the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم) said: “Whoever says three times when he gets up in the morning:
أعوذ بالله السميع العليم من الشيطان الرجيم
“I seek refuge with Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, from the accursed Satan”
and he recites three Ayat from the end of Surah Al-Hashr
Allah appoints seventy-thousand angels who say Salat upon him until the evening. If he dies on that day, he dies a martyr, and whoever reaches the evening, he holds the same status.”
Imam Khatib Baghdadi (رحمه الله) narrated
If a person recites Surah Al-Hashr and when he reaches the Ayah
لو أنزلنا هذا القرآن على جبل لرأيته خاشعا متصدعا من خشية الله وتلك الأمثال نضربها للناس لعلهم يتفكرون
“If We had sent down this Qur’an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and coming apart from fear of Allah. And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will give thought.” (59:21)
he should put his hand on his head because Jibreel (عليه السلام) told the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) to do so as this verse has a cure for every disease except death.
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم) said to Ali (رضي الله عنه)
“O Ali! If you feel a headache, put your hand on it (the head) and recite the last part of Surah al-Hashr.”
(Al-Fawaid al-Majmu’ah 313)
Anas bin Malik (رضي الله عنه) narrated
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم) advised a man that when he goes to bed, to recite the last verse of Surah al-Hashr. And he (صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم) said: “If you die, you will a martyr.” Or he said: “you will be from the people of paradise.”
