Surah al-Hashr (gathering and plowing) (Arabic: سورة الحشر) is the 59th sura of the Quran. The sura consists of 24 verses. The name of the sura comes from the word 'hashr', which appears in the second verse and means 'to gather and plow'.
In the Surah al-Hashr, it is mentioned that Allah's greatness should be used to spread social justice and welfare, Muslims cannot hold grudges against each other, the relations between hypocrites and Jews, and that people should take lessons from the examples given in the Quran.
