Surah Baqarah is the second and longest chapter of the Quran. It brings immense barakah (blessing) into your time, money, food, family, and overall peace in life123. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Recite Surah Al-Baqarah, for to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief, and the magicians cannot confront it” 2.
It helps you to improve your memory, understanding, and concentration23. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever recites the first four verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, then Ayatul Kursi and then the last three verses of Surah Al-Baqarah will not be inflicted with any kind of difficulty in his wealth or himself, Satan will not come near him and he will not forget the Quran” 3.
It contains Ayatul Kursi, which is the greatest verse of the Quran and a powerful protection against evil124. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “For everything there is a pinnacle and the pinnacle of the Quran is Surah Al-Baqarah. In it there is an ayah which is the greatest in the Quran: Ayatul Kursi” 4.
