She was a great mass puller by virtue of her mosy graceful looking actress, God blessed melodious singer, and had the free and fearless dialogue deliberation skill. Therefore, veterans like KL Saigal, P. Jairaj, Prithvi Raj Kapoor, Ashok Kumar and other leading actors were eager to act with her. Even she offered Md. Rafi to practice (Reyaz),in her house. She had shown highest degree of saviour role model for Devanand . Intelligent enough to perceive the life threat to Devanand from community fuelled elements.RIP🙏🙏

har saal main baqaayadgi se suraiya sahiba ko khiraj-e-aqeedat pesh kiya karta tha, aur samaeen kis qadr khush hote aur mere fun ki daad dete mere apne tv program mein...ummeed hai phir se woh waqt aa jaaye aur anginat chaahnewaalon ka dil bhi bahele aur hum sab khush bhi hon !!!

Suraiya is the best without question - she had the sweetest voice among all the female singers. Her beauty is par excellence and she was a very good actress - a very rare combination never seen before or since then (with the possible exception of Kanan Devi). That song from Shama Parwana ("Beqarar Hai Koi") is heart wrenching...both Suraiya and Mohammed Rafi rendered that song beautifully. She was truly a gem.

No trace of her is seen at lower apartment in Krishna Mahal on beach road Bombay. Nobody even identified her. Might be result of her " phir duniya ko Yaad rahega " view. Her lonavala estate and flat in KM fell into litigation. One who claimed there and another in Gurdaspur claimed it and settled. Past this generation she would pass in oblivion. KZfaq... So many ads are disgusting.
