I will never get enough of this brilliant interpretation of a Brian classic. Thank you and Rest In Peace Jeff Beck.

RIP Jeff Beck. A virtuoso guitarist. Surfs Up at the Wang is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard live.

Not many guitar players would have the guts to take on one of Brian Wilson's best melodies and give it an instrumental take- but Beck is fearless!! This is a perfect illustration of his most profound gift- taking a great melody and just playing the hell out of it. The tone he gets out of a simple Strat +Marshall amp( w/ very little FX )using his THUMB as a pick, is nothing short of Mind-Boggling! ! I just saw this show at the House of Blues in Chicago a few days ago, and it was phenomenal.

The crowd in rapt silence, soaking in the glory of Jeff Beck's guitar imitating Brian's voice exactly note for note...stunning.

Big fan of both Jeff and Brian. Just saw this today for the first time. Mind is officially blown.

This melody is so unbelievable. When played by guitar you again become aware how absolutely unique it is.

Just love this great Brian Wilson melody and Jeff certainly does it justice. His guitar tone; the range of sounds he produces; and his feel for the music, is just unbeatable. I don't use the term lightly but Brian Wilson is definitely a genius.

We were there for this performance at the Wellmont. Sat front row next to Bill Medley of The Righteous. To see Beck play Surfs Up from this 1970 landmark album with Brian on piano was very special.

First started listening to music in the 60's. Loved the Beach Boys as well as the Yardbirds and Jeff's solo albums. Never could have imagined I'd be able to see and hear them play together all these years later.

At 69 years of age Jeff Beck makes his instrument sing, whale and crack lightning during this concert on most of the selections. In this one, as usual, he stands out miles above anyone else I've ever heard -- at any age.

Have loved this song since 1971. Jeff Beck definitely captures the feel of this beautiful song. Absolutely unique and I never thought I'd see the likes. Thanks for posting.

That's just beautiful. I had no idea he had been playing it for so long, thinking it was a new thing he did in conjunction with the tour. One of the most interesting pairings in quite awhlile. It's great to see the pairing...two of my favorites, for sure But, I don't think they're as many crossover fans for the two. All of my buds know who Jeff is, but they don't listen to the BB's at all. A shame, of course. Their loss. All that being said..Jeff Beck Rules.

Jeff Beck’s sound is very “surf” like, which is appropriate. This all partially works, but it’s hard to improve on the original, which is masterful. There should have been a longer finale, think.

Yes, BW is a great composer but JB is the best living exponent of the electric gtr that we have, esp in terms of his mastery of pitch nuances, a skill he's made incredible advances on during the last decade. The only other guitarist who comes close in that regard ( Derek Trucks) is still comparatively crude. It all makes me wonder what we'd hear were Jimi Hendrix alive.

They should have recorded this for a Jeff Beck party album. I heard him try this before but I think he almost did what he intended.

I thought it was false advertising - Jeff Beck AND Brian Wilson, until towards the end I saw Brian over at one edge of stage where there had been NO acknowledgement he was there previously, at least in this clip from the show ............. WOW - Beck really is fearless as someone said earlier comment

Only Jeff Beck can tune his guitar like a violin to seamlessly transition from the violinists make it just awesome. Apparently, Brian Wilson said to him after the show, "That was pretty!" And walked straight on by. Jeff, flummoxed followed him
