Here is a surface cleaner hack that will speed up your surface cleaning time. During the operation of your surface cleaner a vortex is formed on top of the spinning bar causing it to suck up and hold dirt, debris mud and rocks. To prevent this Fourtex from forming drill holes in the top of your surface cleaner to interrupt the vortex and allow it to release this mud and not build up. During the build up process they were spinning bar will contact the mud and dirt slowing it down and slowing down your surface cleaner. You can expect an increase a speed of 15%

Easy. He calculated the placement of the 3/8” holes by the barometric air pressure times the PSI of the water divided by the amount of dirt = 15% 😅

The lift is based off the pressure of the water coming out from the bar against the concrete, you’ll be good

Possibly void warranty but we find an increase in speed at a low end of 5% and a top end of 10%. Several manufacturers have reached out to us after seeing this video and are currently studying the effectiveness. From our last interaction with a major brand they will implement port holes to help with ventilation on the underside carriage of the hub. The ventilation holes disrupt a vortex from forming there for interrupting the vacuum that the vortex creates. Stay tuned for more information coming in a couple weeks! We know approximately how many square feet per hour that we can surface clean, then after drilling some holes in the top of the surface cleaner, it spread the surface cleaner up by least 10% in most cases sometimes it's as high as 20% faster

Yes it keeps a vacuum from forming on top of the spinner bar which will hold dirt debris and rocks. This also allows the spinner bar to increase the RPMs which inherently increases the speed of cleaning

@Billy Davidson so I did that, I have a 4gpm machine and I put on 2.5 nozzles. It still wanted to fly even after lowering the pressure. I used some silicone and glued a couple railroad spikes on the back. It doesn't want to fly anymore🤣

I got a new gp 18" hammerhead, throws grease around inside. My 20" gp hammerhead never did this no matter how much grease I put in it, ? thanks. also...the angles of the part at end of bar that holds megs are not angled the same. by about 5-10 degrees

Not the right move and not the real problem. Rotors with brooms at the bottom trap derby and water at the bristles. You either need to run without them with just a rubber sheild betweenthe rear wheels or clreance the broom just off the ground or some sort of relief in the bristles (worn tires will reduce ground clearance). Drilling hole in the shield ment to protect you and keep you dry is just not a good idea. Proper sizing of the nozzle to match your pump is critical especially with smaller home owner grade as he using and make sure your pump is capable of flowing enough water to spin the rotor properly. I come from 20 years of pressure washing using small homeowner grade tools for small jobs to professional grade and custom built rotors.

How do you make some very valid points but we have tried this on a brand new surface cleaner and we've noticed the RPMs of the spinner bar increase. We've also noticed a minimum of 10% speed gain with surface cleaning. We've also had some surface cleaner, manufacturers reach out to us in hopes that they may re-engineer some of their housings and hubs to vent delete better.

Hey quick question please. (Forget about money) but is there any bleach alternative product for killing natural growth for a house wash? If so can it be downstreamed or applied with a softwash system? I would like to have the option for customers who do not want bleach. Rather than lose the customer, I can upsell for the bleach alternative. Thank you

Pureseal Oxiwash is a great option, but im in the UK so not sure where you are, anything "caustic free" is bleach free

There is something also called sodium hydroxide, but it is a little bit slower working for activation. You could also check out my website in the first pinned comment of this video. My personal phone number is on the website. Feel free to reach out to me and we can discuss other options rather than Bleach. Some customers just refuse to have Bleach used on their homework property which will raise the price and make the job a bit difficult but it still can't have a great results achieved.

Yes, it increases the speed by at least 10% depending on your machinery. We've had three manufacturers already reach out to us with our new discovery. They having their engineers look into it and doing some testing currently and very possible implement some ventilation holes to help reduce the vortex that is caused due to the high pressure buildup under the hub. I spoke to one engineer extensively at a manufacture, and they going to do some testing in a vacuum chamber so we may see some changes coming to surface cleaners in the very near future hopefully!

I've never tried it on aluminum surface, cleaners but I can't see why it wouldn't help! On the plastic hub surface cleaners, we've noticed a minimum of 10% faster on our cleanings

So, after making this video, a couple manufactures have reached out to us getting the specific details and their engineers are looking into it as we speak. We noticed a minimum of a 10% increase in speed which doesn't seem like a lot over an eight hour work shift it starts to add up.

What vacuum? It’s a “pressure” washer which means there is constant positive pressure from water pressure and the pump which is upto 4000psi inside the surface cleaner at all times. You can actually feel this with the cheap plastic surface cleaners they literally take off like a hovercraft when you pull the trigger. Ain’t no way there’s a vacuum in there 😂

Hey, give it a try it won't hurt anything at all! We found that it speeds up the RPMs on the surface cleaner by allowing the hub to vent better and not haul dirt and debris between the bar and the hub! We found somewhere around 810 to 15% gain in speed it's not much but every little bit counts

So after we have discovered, putting some holes in the hub of the surface cleaner, we've had several manufacturers reach out to us. Their engineers have verified that our discovery could possibly be helpful and other testing is currently being performed. We have noticed an approximately 10 to 20% increase in the speed of the RPMs of the surface cleaner spray bar therefore increase in the speed overall
