This is the one I love most. I mean of course we dont talk about bruno's all together part and dolores's whisper rap is fire too. But this one is a banger and emotional at the same time.

This song hits home so much for me, I lost my sister over a year ago, and she was the only person i ever felt that I could talk to completly open because she could understand/handle it. I miss her so much and I hope that anyone having a close big sister can see that they will always listen and be there for u, even if u doubt it at the beginning.

Finally, someone else having an full emotional response to this song! Actually hearing and absorbing the lyrics It is by far the best and most impactful song from this movie for me, the only one that stuck in my head. I cab't imagine the impact it could have on people, I relate to the strength part, if you're strong you're expected to always be

2:39 Luisa means "famous warrior", yes. It's the feminine form of Luis, which is the Spanish form of Ludwig. Hlut is the origin of Lud, and means famous, while wig means battle in Old German. Luisa means "famous warrior" or "renown in battle" and is also a reference to Saint Louise, patron saint of unwanted children, children without parents, sick people, and charity. Sometimes screenwriters pick a name that really hits it out of the park in terms of characterization.

I'm an only child, but this song came out at a time in which my business was starting to go under, meaning my husband and I would lose our main source of income; he'd be unemployed, since his main work was our business, and my second job was paying for everything, and it wasn't enough. We lost our apartment and had to move, there were days in which we literally had a can of tuna and some rice to share between the two of us for dinner. So, needless to say, when I watched the movie I was not prepared for this song and we had to pause the movie because I had a full-on teary breakdown after this. This song is SO good and so impactful. (Also, things are much better now: new job, new apartment, plus a book that's selling pretty well, and better work/life balance)

55555 This is by far my favorite Disney song EVER because 1 it is a total smash! 2 Luisa is the most reliable character in the movie and 3 I have felt what Luisa is going through and it just makes my heart happy to see this sort of community form around Luisa and the song Surface Pressure 🥲🥹

I've thought ever since the first viewing that Surface Pressure is UNBELIEVABLY heartbreaking and the best song of Encanto. As much as you enjoyed this, Jessie's song, When Somebody Loves You in Toy Story 2 is also extremely heartbreaking

Not sure if you know that VoicePlay does a cover of this (not as good as the original in my opinion. ) And yes this is my favorite song from the movie, yet VoicePlays cover of We Don’t Talk About Bruno actually made me watch the movie. Lol😂
