I think you're too trusting of Uber by calling the LAX problem a "glitch". A program and an algorithm ONLY does what it's programmed to do. So, if an algorithm cheats drivers then it's because it was programmed to do that.

There are so many illegal immigrants driving in Clearwater Florida St Petersburg Florida Tampa Florida that it is literally impossible to get the money that we were making just a year ago. Most of my passengers are so happy that I speak english. They say most of their drivers do not speak English do not know where they're going do not understand English and it is so frustrating for them. 27:25 My two cents, they are doing this because it give them more time to pair a driver from radar, and if a driver cancels the passenger will never know it will rematch with another driver. Driver will most likely cancel within the first few seconds

That isn't how much they pay. Most of the time it's 50 bucks they offer to San Antonio or vice versa. The worst I saw was 34 for San Antonio to Austin.

In all sales activity, and driving people for money as a sales activity, there are three things that are available to a passenger. The passenger can expect two of the three which leaves the third for the driver in a typical sales transaction. Time, quality, price! if the passenger needs something quick and wants a quality ride it will cost them a lot more. However the passenger doesn't isn't in a time sensitive situation and wants to save money they will get a lower quality ride. This is the three legged stool again where the passenger can have two of those three and the driver should be able to have one.
