I am almost done with my third year of med school. It has taken me a while to get around to editing and posting this video but I wanted to share my experience on my surgery clerkship including hours, responsibilities, my overall thoughts and feelings. I can't lie, this rotation was ROUGH and that's coming from someone who actually enjoys the OR. There was just so much more to it that I really had never thought about or considered prior to such an extended exposure to the field. 𝘼𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙈𝙚
I'm a Christian who loves eating 🥙, making music 🎼, and watching sports🏈🏀. I earned a bachelor's of science in Music and a Bachelor's of science in Biochemistry in May 2020. After finishing my undergraduate study, I worked as a Medical Scribe in the Emergency Department! If you haven't guessed by now my favorite color is purple 💜and some of my favorite shows are This is Us, All American and Love is Blind. I am the first in my immediate family to pursue the MD path👩🏽‍⚕️ and there was so much I just didn't know. I've learned so much that I want to share with others like me as well as sharing my inner most thoughts as I embark on this new journey of becoming an MD.
