Doctors Beyond Borders interviewed Dr.Vikas Kohli,Director in BLK Children’s Heart Institute at BLK Super Specialty Hospital, New Delhi. Previously he was Senior Consultant, Pediatric Cardiology at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi.
In this video he talks about surgical closure vs device closure of ASD. Dr. Kohli explains how device closure is the preferred method, as the patient is not left with a scar on the chest post surgery as in the case of surgical closure.

Kya ASD device closer mai regular checkup ki jaroorat hoti hai....

Yes, first routine checkup after 1 week. Second after 3 months Third after 1 year from the date of asd closure device set up date.

asd closer device is better than open heart surgery bcause very less complecations after treatment and high success rate.

@@sarcasmhub7263 open heart surgery is old and unwanted operation but asd closure is safe and secure. I had seen better results of asd closure device. Believe me.
