Suriname: First Full Descent of the Tanjiemama Creek

Күн бұрынIn October 2022 four of us friends got dropped off by a helicopter at the headwaters of a remote river in central Suriname.
The jungle was thick, the storms fierce, and the piranhas hungry.
It took us about ten days to paddle back to civilization, completing the first known full descent.
We used Alpacka packrafts for this expedition, which I would highly recommend.
