1600's are like a weird combination of 900s and a drunk GM. I mean in a game, they would see beautiful tactics but, in the same game, would hang a back rank checkmate or hang a piece in like one move. Being 1600 is really fascinating.

That game screamed "low intermediate", though. Levy's guess was shambolic. I like how he assumed a 900 would know how to punish a single move out of theory, or would see, like, a gazillion forks in a row, or know how to convert a pawn majority advantage. 900 was an extremely oblivious guess.

No evidence of coffee consumption prior to 15th century CE, meanwhile we've been brewing tea for minimum thousands of years, making soups/stews for at minimum tens of thousands, brewing alcohol for like 10k etc. Coffee is *veeeeeeeery* new relatively speaking.

Levy, I would honestly like to thank you for your content! I keep coming back to chess and recently I've come back to chess purely because of me starting to train for combat sports competition, and on my time off I love sitting back and playing chess, it keeps my brain active and helps me be patient and consistent, there's really so much brilliance to chess and when it comes to entertainment in chess, you bring all of that to the table and I am glad you've reached such a major audience you really deserve it. F3 hanging the king 😂 - can we please have a play mode where we actually HAVE to capture the king in order to win, so being able to hang the king would be possible? In some cases the opponent wouldn’t even notice, like when they don’t notice when my queen is hanging. Maybe at some point both queen and king can be hanging out together 🎉

It may have been this channel but I'm pretty sure it was Jayne the overwatch streamer. He did guess the elo but he has an option for chat to vote what elo bracket that chat thought the clip was. That might be too complicated, but it made it more of a competition and fun to watch. Also chat and Jayne couldn't guess the same bracket. idk if you'll read this or even care if you do but thought I'd give a suggestion. Love the videos keep it up!

I always take people to canoe when they come to visit Toronto. Great views, and levelled up Canadian influenced food. Perhaps a little uppity, but so worth it. The tasting menu usually has things on it that I've never had before. Ok, reading this back I look like a snob.... I like big macs too.

The d5 pawn push blocks the dark square bishop from pinning the knight on c3 to the king. You should only do this if you develop your dark bishop outside the pawn chain
