Thank you for helping this woman with a clean space when she gets home from rehab. I can't even imagine how good that must make her feel to come home to that rather than a dirty home after going through the process of rehabilitation for her addiction. I think it promotes a very healing atmosphere.❤❤🙏

My son struggles with alcohol and drug addiction. He has recovered and relapsed many times. It is heartbreaking for us. Your video has given me hope that he may make it someday. It's really important to have all your bottles, paraphernalia, and hiding spots cleared out when you come back home from inpatient/sober living. Seeing all that stuff can be really triggering! If you're not fortunate enough to have an angel like Coline do it for you, ask for help! You dont want to do it alone. Between your sponsor/family/friends/others in sobriety, you'll find someone who can be by your side as you go through the messes your old self left behind

Good job. The bed is not broken. Those wooden pieces hanging down are slats-wooden strips that should lay on top of the bed rails one side to the other. The slats do move out of place. 'Julia' could have someone velcro or glue them down on the rails.

Unfortunately, when I lifted the matrass I found out that some of the wooden slats were broken 😢

@@colinecleans Too bad. But if Julia has the funds it's an easy fix. Any carpenter or woodworker could cut the number of slats needed. She could also have that person could a 1/4" thick sheet of plywood (not sure what it's called in The Netherlands) the length and width of the bed to sit on top of the slats. No more broken slats.

It's a lovely thing to do to help Coline, I am sure the home owner appreciated it. I noticed at 2.42 you swept a pair of silver/gold hoop earrings into the dustpan from off the window ledge. I do hope they weren't missed by the homeowner as jewellery can be very sentimental.

It must mean a lot to the resident to come home and make a new start in a clean flat, it´s so great that you did this for her. I had a bed like this once and the bottom fell out in the same way. In the end I got someone to drill holes through the wood and the iron bits on the side and screw it so it stuck. It only needed 2-3 screws on each side and lasted for years.

It is a big benefit to have a clean slate to start from when this lady comes back home. Not having certain items around to remind of the past addiction and a fresh smelling house can really help the continued mental recovery after the physical recovery is worked through. Her cat seems friendly and is also going to enjoy the healthy benefits of clean floors, furniture and fresh air! Bless you, Coline, you are doing so much beyond just ‘cleaning’ for these people. Can’t wait to see your Santa video, however, I always love your blue shirt with the ruffled sleeves, it’s pretty!

Another great video Coline. We Americans are a little freaked out by you not rinsing the soap off of the dishes. We have been raised to believe leaving soap on them can make you sick and cause diarrhea. I’ve seen other cleaners abroad do the same thing. It’s clearly an American thing to rinse them. As an animal lover I am so happy you fed the cat and spent time with her. Hopefully someone has been looking after here while Julia is an inpatient. I’m hoping someone has cleared all drugs, paraphernalia, bottles etc so there won’t be any triggers left in the apartment when Julia arrives home. Thank you for helping her and for letting us tag along. Have a great week!

I also was told rinsing off the soap off the dishes, never been to the US neither my family. Native born in Germany 😉. But the reason why I do it is just avoiding to mix the soap taste with my food 😂, especially the silverware.
