Jett Lawrence still dominant even at only 90%, but older brother, Hunter Lawrence is keeping him honest and will get a win this year, straight up. Haiden "Danger Boy" Deegan is smashing headfirst through the 250 class and on the fast track to the big bikes but not if Tom Vialle and Levi Kitchen can figure things out quick and give him some competition.
Round 3 of the 2024 Pro Motocross series is in the books and now it's on to Round 4 at High Point Raceway in Mt. Morris PA.

Deegan rides the 450's much more than he rides his 250 while practicing . He throws around the 450 like it's a 250 so anybody that doubts Deegan on a 450 will be very surprised . By the time he moves up he will be extremely dominant imo . What makes Deeg's so dangerous and totally different from most vet riders is he's fearless and will send it no matter what LOL.

Deegan winning the overalls this season is from some good rides, but the 250 field is extremely thin. RJ, Macadoo, Forkner, hammaker, marchbanks, Vohland. This makes a huge difference.

Hunter is still finding his feet. This is his first season on a 450 (obviously) and hunters ceiling for improvement is high. I can’t wait to watch Hunter, Jett and the rest go for it in a couple of years. It’s still early but I think Deegan will be on the same level but time will tell.

Hope Deegan wins all the OAs this year an goes 450s next year, but then comes the problem. He's not beating either of the Lawrence bros. I think his riding style simply won't allow him to excel in premier class. Will be interesting to see how his "winner mentanlity" translates when he moves up. There will be drama, can't wait.

Deegan going 11-0 maybe, he may be 3-0 but it’s not like he’s doing it gracefully. It may be his title to win, but when you’re giving a rider a chance and hope to win. Anything can happen all it takes is for one bad weekend, Mother Nature to work its magic. And you have to expect that Viale, or hymas may go on a run. Hymas has the speed to stay with Deegan, and if he proved anything last week it’s that if he gets a good start he can pull away. So it will be interesting to see what happens. Deegan is favored to win the title, let’s not forget he was favored to win the sx title and we saw how that turned out.

@MrIke303 do you not understand the point? Is he going 1-1 is he crashing, is he winning moto 2. What do you think happens when these riders see him fall, when he doesn’t go out and have the same result in moto 2. He gives them a chance to believe that they will win. RV prime example he would win moto 1s, but struggle moto 2. You know what would be nice if we could criticize a rider without everyone getting butt hurt. By questioning what I see as hymas gaining confidence, and Deegan opening a door for those types of rides. Are we not allowed to say that. I know Deegan is a media darling, but don’t act like he has these perfect rides. You know how he lost the sx title. Because the door was open for Viale to win races. And by Deegan falling and letting these guys stay in the battle, he’s not fully closing the door on one of these riders to make a run. God why are people so sensitive.

@MrIke303 that’s what makes Mx better than sx all it takes is for one bad moto from Deegan. And that points lead will go away. Look what happened to Jett, bad moto and look at all the points he lost. Now we are switching coasts, some of these tracks will better suit the KTM bike. So while him falling might not seem that big of deal, it’s keeping those hopes alive. He just needs some solid motos, no falling over and 1-1 in some motos. And he will for sure solidify his place as the 250 guy. The questions of someone is possibly beating him start going out the window.

@@Steezy2breezy520 that’s a lot of maybes, even then, Viale went on a run, and Deegan struggled with starts and mistakes. the difference is sx is only 1 race paying points. MX you make points in both motos. Deegan wants to close the door on these guys title hopes. But then he can’t quite close it yet. Right now Deegan falling is not a big deal because he gets back up. But we all saw what happened to Jett, one bad moto weekend and look at the points deficit he found himself in. That’s the great thing about MX anything is possible and this season feels like expect the unexpected from the 450’s to the 250s. So it’s a great time to be an sx/mx fan.

great show this week! Yes, Freddy Noren has been really good outdoors thus far and deserves a top tier ride in '25 Just look at all the "factory" guys he is beating. and Yes, the 2025 outdoor season is worth waiting for, Lawrence , Lawrence, J cooper, Prado, Deegan. The 450 class will be amazing. I expect J.Coop to be winning a round or two by mid season 2024, certainly on the podium at the very least .

Great show DB as always. Deegan wouldn't make top 5 in 450 class at this point. He needs to win a title in SX and Outdoors and defend them first. Then he should be ready both physically and mentally to move up to the big boys class. I still think Jett has some more tricks in the bag but Hunter and Chase will battle for 2nd place overall at the end of the season. Need you in the booth again mate it would make the broadcast so much better.👍👏

At 10:45 ish I am so happy to hear you not counting smx as a true championship. Mx is the only real championship, sx/smx will always be an off season side show. Not taking away from the skill it takes to ride sx but it now takes precedence only because it’s a money maker.

Dont know if there is anyone who could have a crash like that and go 2-1 the next week while injured that is crazy to me. Must be the young mans body made of rubber. Id like to see more of those stats, pretty interesting. Hard to really quantify those sometimes because it can depend on the speed of the people you are competing against, but it would be a real shake up if Deegan goes 450 next year and is competitive. You know what gets old and tiring one minute your all over sexton for having an amazing ride. And everyone is saying how he is finally ready to challenge Jett and his speed is back. Sexton can win no doubt but his window to win championships is closing. It’s not only hunta, it’s also J-Coop he may have run out of steam, but he will win some motos. It’s RC, Reed, and Stewart 2.0

Why dont you also bring up the fact that Jett won on a Geico honda, arguably the slowest bike on the gate. While on the other hand deegan is on a known to have the fastest bikes AND on top of that has a 1 off bike that not even his teammates can get. Not necessarily the "fairest" comparison.

He gotta disagree on the age being a big factor in their first year or two stats. 16-18 your brain is not much different, you’re still young and dumb. It’s all about the experience and time actually racing in the pros, which is why it should be based solely off of their first 2 seasons and not age. That shows which one started winning and learning quicker. I’m a Jett fan and deegan fan, don’t care whose stats are better or who beats who, just my opinion on how the stats should be looked at. I don’t see Haiden being able to beat Jett for a title, especially in sx, but he can definitely win some motos and overalls outdoors against him. No matter who wins, I just can’t wait to see some great racing between 3-5 different guys (at the least) over the next 6-8 years or so. Going to be fun!

Deegan needs to take his time and win a couple of 250cc outdoor titles, and at least one 250cc Supercross title before jumping Into a class that has riders that have proven they are capable of beating him. And will Deegan's riding technique transfer to a 450cc? No doubt he will be fast on a 450cc but his competition is currently a Phenom. A rider that not only adapted to a 450cc and took riding to a whole new level. Jett Lawrence is the only rider besides Jeremy McGrath that greatly advanced his riding level, speed, ect., when he moved to the premiere big bike class.

Stop with the "SMX championship title" nonsense when you referred to Deegan beating Hunter last year. No one with any dignity believes a 3 race series is anything other than an exhibition, it's almost as stupid as the "Triple Crown Champion" BS. Funniest part. It was only created to discredit the world supercross series that sparked up. Even lined up on the same dates😂. Now that World Series is gone. Rumor it’s back but Instagram and Facebook is completely gone.

Here's mY take on it - First, Hunta will never beat Jett all things being equal. Jett got a little to big for his britches and started believing he was super human and crashed. that said there is no questioning his heart, the dude's an animal. But here's the real deal. Hunter was out racing some years back when the Lawrences first came here and was on a 450 if memory serves me but either way he made a few waves as a privateer but got inquired and he wasn't good enough for factories to look at him. Then Jett came along and lit the world on fire and there was a factory bidding war I'm sure and he signed with Honda but it was a package deal (per Darryn Lawrence I'm sure). My brother comes along or no deal. So, Hunter has had the benefit of factory equipment, factory trainers and the opportunity to put in training moto's every day behind his superior brother to learn which he would have never had but for Jett. Had it not been for Jett Hunter would probably still be a satellite rider today. Yes he's a top 3-4 guy but he's not coming close to wining a championship if Jet doesn't get injured again.
