LOVE that Kapri got her hedgehog.....but rather surprised that y'all didn't research it a bit before you just went out and got a hedgehog. Firstly....the poor little thing was so confused & scared with y'all (plus your kitty) swarming around it's cage ..making all that noise & Kapri sticking her hand into the cage with no precautions . You should have brought it into the room and covered it's cage with something so it could have some quiet time to get used to it's new environment before meeting everyone. I know y'all love animals and treat your pets well....but this time you kinda rushed into it...scaring the poor little thing ! I'm glad your "adopted" family member was there to add some sage advice. And I hope the cute little hedgehog has settled comfortably into it's new abode !

Hi there! Just some hedgehog advice, I would recommend getting a bigger cage nothing major a great option would be a bin cage it’s a good “cheaper” option if you look up bin cages for small animals it will bring up some ideas! Congratulations on your new hedgehog kapri!

A word of advice, hedgehogs need a wheel, since they are nocturnal they will run on it all night. Also do not bathe them often and if you need to use the aveno baby oatmeal soap. Their skin is very sensitive!! Mealworms are a great treat but their main diet should be pretty carnivorous like cat food is. You can also put one of your worn t-shirts in the cage to get her used to your scent. It may also be nicer to use a blanket as the bedding that way you can just throw it in the wash if it gets dirty. Also maybe look into getting a larger cage, hedgehogs love to run and be active at night and more space would be great for her! I know you guys take great care of your pets and I'm sure luna is in great hands. Congrats on your new family member !!!

Awww so happy for Kap!! My husband has a hedgehog so I have some advice! Throw one of Kapri’s tshirts or something into the cage so that Luna can become familiar and comfortable with her sent. This will help create a bond and she will become more comfortable when Kap tries to interact with her! It will also give Luna somewhere to burrow and hide, which hedgies love to do. Also, we feed ours cat food, and sometimes a little chunk of scrambled egg! She loves it. ❤️ But definitely put a piece of Kap’s clothing in the cage! She should warm up soon!! (And yes, hedgehogs looooove hamster wheels. Ours runs on the wheel all night long!)

That is so exciting! I have a hedgehog so I have some tips. One it does take time don't rush anything, the quills hurt a bit but you get used to it. There normal diet is high protein cat food. Yes they do run on wheels at night they are nocturnal. Make sure Capri talks to her a lot and put one of her shirts in the cage. Do not bathe them too much cause it will dry out their skin. Just clean the cage at least once a week and only bathe once a month, twice if absolutely needed. Try not to get any water on their face. And despite popular belief they do not like to swim so make sure that they are in water that they can touch the ground in and isn't high enough to go in her ears. I leave food in the bowl at all times so mine can eat whenever she wants. That puffing thing they do is because they are scared and their quills are their only form of protection. The cage does need to be bigger and make sure you take her out a lot. If they go to many days without being held they will get grumpy.

Just an FYI, you can use a cat scooper to pick up the hedgehog. Also, don't bathe it too often. When bathing it, fill the bathroom sink with warm water and be very gentle. Use a tooth brush if you want.

Also hedgehogs love hiding and being warm so maybe a sleeping bag and a litter box. Reusable cloth mats are so great instead of the shavings cuz the shavings get dirty so fast and it can get expensive buying it often. And a questions for y’all still have your Guinea pigs because they both need similar care and I once heard that kap thought they were annoying lol

Hey y’all! Just a few tips for the new hedgehog! It’s better for them to have fleece blankets or soft bedding so that they can stay cozy and a heat lamp rlly helps a lot. They also hiss to keep themselves safe. They are really friendly tho once they get to know you Lol. and if you put a t-shirt in there it gets them used to your Sent. My sister has 3 and she has had them for a few years and they are so sweet. Also they love baths with Johnsons & Johnson’s baby soft body wash and a tooth brush! 💗

I’m with Terri on the fact that crumbl should make dairy free options. I have a dairy and peanut allergy so crumbl is sadly a no go for me. Love all the Terri vlogs and cheer videos you have been uploading recently.

Hedgehog do use a wheel especially if they are a more active one just a suggestion to have your hedgehog use it and remember they are awake during the night time. If its smooth one without gaps or whatever else which looks like it is its fine for the hedgehog to use the wheel
