OCI card is like an indian passport...lifetime validity and unlimited travel and stay in India. Must have if you intend to visit parents or friends back home. Also, to maintain PR card you need to spend 2 years out of 5 years, it can be consecutive or non consecutive. They will count these no of days from the date of your citizenship application. If you are a PR and have completed 2 years as a PR staying in Canada for 2 years, then apply for Citizenship. It will take anywhere between 12-18 months to get citizenship so plan accordingly. Once you get citizenship certificate, which will be mailed to you after you pass the test and take the oath, then you can apply for Canadian passport on the basis of the citizenship certificate. Always keep it safe, its as important as the passport. Once you get the Canadian passport, you need to surrender Indian passport and apply for OCI card. You can do both simultaneously through VFS in Brampton and Toronto. 2 different applications, but you can file together.

I am planning to move to Edmonton in January'24 as I have my long term partner there but I can't find any good PG programs in IT open for January intake. ( Should I opt for a diploma/Post diploma) (If I take program in eg- Toronto will that create a problem in me getting a job in Edmonton because of difference in province) (Can you help me n let me know if u know any PG programs in (development or AI) in Edmonton.

If you 500000$ for 5 year bond to Canada you get Citizenship directly Healthcare is not free they charge tax 25% If you are Canadian you leave out of country more than 5 years you loose your retirement benefits pension

Thanks, it depends ap kaunse program ke liye eligible hai sab programs ka processing time alag hai. Agar aap student aate hai to pehle study visa the. Work permit and PR direct bhi apply kar sakte hai agar elligible ho to 1 year approx lag jata hai.

Once the adoption has been authorized by the adoption authorities of your province/territory and the country where the child lives, you can proceed with the immigration or citizenship process to bring your adopted child to Canada. You should consult the cic.gc.ca to decide which process to use.

If you are canadian citizen but your kids born in india then they are indian citizens and u can apply for their pr process... No they dont become Canadian citizen automatically until unless you are in the army stationed outside canada
