That last part hit home pretty good with me. I’m 42 and my dad is 70 and has been fighting ALS the last few years. It’s looking like he’ll be gone within the next 6 months. I have a big bag of golf tees with his name printed on them I gave him back in the day; I got them back when he died and I still use them on every par 3 I play today, every round. Very wholesome video! My grandfather taught me the game when I was young. We still play, and he’s still youngish at 62, can still find a way to beat me. He’s had old clubs and a ratty bag he picked up in Florida for 10 bucks at a yard sale. Last year I gifted him an old driver of mine and this year for Christmas I got him a brand new callaway bag with some Red Sox edition Prov1’s and a brand new Celtics divot fixer (we’re from Maine). He almost cried. Great moments like these are what we live for!

I was blessed to be an able to give my father his 1st set of name brand irons. Much like yours, my father teared up. I lost my dad to cancer 3 years ago and I would give anything to be able to go back and play 1 more round with him. Enjoy it with you can Colin!

This was awesome! As someone who is fortunate enough to be able to golf with my adult son 2-3 times a month, I definitely enjoy getting to spend 4 hours talking about how things are going, and playing a game we both love. Cherish those opportunities when you can. I lost my Father about 3 months ago, and would love play one more round of golf with him.

Man, this hits home. I had the same experience this summer. I took my dad this summer to get fitted for a FULL bag. I had worked my butt off for the whole summer, working 2 jobs to pay off all of my family's debt and set us up for the future. Along the way, I decided to pay him back for the tons of money and time he's spent helping us with the first home we owned that we sold for a hurt profit. He essentially helped us flip it, live in it and then sell it at the height of the market. We went there, got fitted and then I paid for the whole thing. He couldn't handle it, cried in the parking lot. I figured a set of clubs wasn't nearly enough for a lifetime of help for myself and my family but I felt it was needed. If your parents help you out throughout life, find a way to pay it back. Colin, hits home my guy. I have a few tears again, remembering that day with my dad. We played a ton of golf this year, something we hadn't done in quite some time.

My dad was commuting back and forth between home and another state for work each work and after a couple years my parents just split up so I never really had a dad growing up from about the age of 12 onwards. It's good to see you're still so close to your dad.

Colin my friend, you Sir, are a great son. As a father of three girls now all in their 20's, only one of them actually enjoyed coming to the course with me once in a while and just played the holes she wanted to, which was a wonderful experience for me and her. However, all of them have given me gifts related to golf, but the memories on the course were priceless. I also got my dad into golf later in his life and he enjoyed it up until his departure, but my brothers and I were able to spend that time with him for about a decade. I am very proud of you and your dad, because his reaction is all that ever needs to be said... similar to my own.

I lost my Dad this year,he started me playing golf at 5 years old...he was 31. Now I'm 49 and he's gone. Thank you Dad for teaching me thus game I love. Ty Collin for the great content...you are a good egg brother!

I'm 67 and my son is 41 and we played golf together this year and there is no person I would love to play golf with than my son. I really liked this as it was very touching. Really good shit man. Don't know why this got recommended to me in May but ya take advantage of those moments. This brought a tear to my eye man, my dad is 65 now and ever since he got T boned by a 17 year old drunk driver he gave up playing due to injury. He taught me how to golf at the driving range around 7 years old. Every time we played together was some of the best moments of my childhood. This video reminded me of those times.
